October 26, 200718 yr After all these years, you guys are STILL letting Gametime goad you into these crazy arguments. Remember people, GT is an instigator of all that is evil and wrong in this world. He is nearing 59,000 posts, lol. That is an unbelievable number.
October 26, 200718 yr Author I'll be fair in stating that Ryan can't carry Brohm's jock strap, either. He is nowhere near the QB level of Brohm and Woodson. It's clear this Heisman race topic is new to you. It's going to be fun helping you guys out the rest of the way...
October 26, 200718 yr Yet is still ahead of Woodson in the Heisman race... How do you figure? Have you talked to the voters and taken a secret tally?
October 26, 200718 yr Author Remember people, GT is an instigator of all that is evil and wrong in this world. Dream career. Dream wife. I sold my soul decades ago... :fire:
October 26, 200718 yr How do you figure? Have you talked to the voters and taken a secret tally? Do you watch ESPN?
October 26, 200718 yr Ryan vs Woodson. Deflect and spin as you see needed I guess... Ryan is favored over Woodson because of his record. Is he better, I don't think so. Will Ryan win it if they lose just 1 game, probably. Should he...NO. This game should not help Ryan, but with ESPN's spin on it, it sure will ift him above the clouds to the voters minds.
October 26, 200718 yr Author How do you figure? Have you talked to the voters and taken a secret tally? I've seen the "secret tally" of about half the voters. Tebow leads and Ryan is ahead of Woodson. Stupid facts...

October 26, 200718 yr Do you watch ESPN? All the time and I'll have to say that the majority of the "professionals" on ESPN are idiots.
October 26, 200718 yr There's nothing to worry about, BC will lose and Ryan will suddenly be a loser QB in ESPN's eyes. They were trashing him tonight until he made a comeback. Then, suddenly, he was a super QB again.
October 26, 200718 yr My Take: Did Ryan help his Heisman chances? Slightly. He's still third behind Tebow and Woodson. McFadden is fourth and Brohm is fifth. The Heisman is Tebow's to lose. Unless he contracts a MRSA strand, he'll take home the Berwanger trophy in New York. I think Woodson is ahead of Ryan because he has been getting more national exposure in recent weeks. The two performances on CBS will resonate nationwide. One factor going against Ryan is the lack of media attention coming from the Northeast and especially in BC's backyard. The Patriots are unbeaten. The Red Sox are in the World Series. The Celtics traded for Garnett and Allen. They are the #2 ranked team in college football and the #4 story in their hometown. Nationally syndicated columnists are spending their time on Brady's run for the TD record and the run of the Sawx. Ryan's comeback showed he is a big time quarterback and may have won him the votes of Bob Ryan and Todd Blackledge. But I don't think it's enough to pass Tebow and Woodson at this point.
October 26, 200718 yr Because they don't agree with you? :jump: Stir the pot as much as you'd like, but I'm not budging. Ryan isn't going to win the Heisman and there's not really any way to argue that.
October 26, 200718 yr Or does this make you feel better? http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/heisman07/index To be fair thought that's just Speilman's opinion. Not a consensus or quorum of their writers. He loses point for Colt Brennan being in the top 5.
October 26, 200718 yr Stir the pot as much as you'd like, but I'm not budging. Ryan isn't going to win the Heisman and there's not really any way to argue that. And neither is Woodson. :thumb:
