October 26, 200718 yr But he also made a lot of good plays in that game as well. Yes he did have 3 turnovers, but he did some really good things. Matt Ryan had an awful first 3 quarters. But he won on the road against the #8 team in the country. Dre' didn't.
October 26, 200718 yr I think it would be absolutely crazy at this point to say Woodson is not still in the race. There are probably 6 or 7 guys who are still in it. Show me where I said Woodson shouldn't be in the race....
October 26, 200718 yr It bothers me because they constantly ignore LEGITIMATE arguments that point out obvious flaws in their posts...If they can post biased and uninformed information, I can call them out. Sure you can. To each his own I guess.
October 26, 200718 yr If that makes you feel better, run with it... Please, Ryan had 95 yards through 3 quarters. He was not very good at all. Woodson was atleast making some plays. Ryan did a great job leading his team back, no doubt about that.

October 26, 200718 yr Woodson had a pick and a fumble returned for touchdowns against USC...Tell me whose TO's cost them more, Ryan's or Woodson's? He also led TD and field goal drives. Something Ryan did not do until very late in the game.:sssh: My point was that Woodson was better in the SC game than Ryan was until late in this game. But Ryan got things turned around and got the big win. Now does anyone truly think Ryan's performance tonight was more impressive than Woodson's performance vs. LSU?

October 26, 200718 yr Author Now does anyone truly think Ryan's performance tonight was more impressive than Woodson's performance vs. LSU? Care to point out where that was ever said???
October 26, 200718 yr This is all fun but lets be honest...... there are a lot of games left to be played until there is a clear cut heisman winner and I'm not sure it will be clear then. If you had one choice as a player to start building your team around then it would be hard not to take McFadden IMO. I think Ark and UofL have killed their guys chances. Ryan, Woodson and Tebow have to be the other guys mentioned and somebody like a Dixon might be a long shot if the Ducks were to spank USC pretty bad. If UK were to win out vs teams like Georgia and Tenn then it will bring a lot of pub to Woodson and might give him a shot to win it. That's way down the road but very real. Ryan isn't as good as Woodson, Tebow or Brohm IMO but that's my opinion. There are a couple of other QB's better to such as Brennan etc. The media can spin a lot of stuff. If WVU wins big this weekend over Rutgers and they start sneaking into the National Championship talk then they will be all over Slayton too. There's just too much football to hand it to somebody right now IMO.
October 26, 200718 yr Care to point out where that was ever said??? The thread says, "Woodson Would Be A Legend After A Performance Like That." The term would be a legend makes it sound like he has never put on a performance greater than or equal to that. So are you saying Woodson is a legend or hes never had a performance like that?

However, Ryan's performance tonight WAS better than Woodson's against South Carolina. As a body of work Woodson has better stats. However, in recent Heisman voting Ryan is undefeated and doesn't have to beat Woodson's, Brohm's or McFadden's stats. Advantage--Ryan. Anyone that thinks otherwise is wearing their BlueBlockers.

He also probably knew how UK fans would be bashing Ryan....
October 26, 200718 yr Ok...I'll play your game. Ryan played bad tonight....He still won. Woodson played bad against USC, and cost his team the game.... I think this kind of argument is mute for one simple reason! When was the last time UK held a top 10 team under 2 TD's? Ryan's defense makes him look a lot better. If KY holds Florida under 2 TD's last week then Woodson is the king etc. Easier schedule, better defense etc helps Ryan big time.
