It was an impressive comeback, but you can't be saying Matt Ryan was more impressive tonight than Andre Woodson was against LSU. No, but he was more impressive than Woodson was against USC. I'm not saying that Ryan is better just that he got it done when it counted.
October 26, 200718 yr My takes like this are never aimed at all UK fans. 6 years of history backing that. But read the update thread, and you get a good idea of who I'm talking to... I can imagine, I've been watching the World Series and only checking in on the football game. I haven't really looked much at the update thread but a comeback from 10 points down on the road, in the rain against a very good defense makes any stats moot. Anyone that thinks otherwise doesn't know much about football.
October 26, 200718 yr I am as shocked by the outcome of this game as I was when Cincy lost to Pitt or when U of L lost to Syracuse. Unbelievable to me that you can have 10-0 lead with 4 minutes left and find a way to screw it up. Madness.

Is the Thursday night game more important than the Saturday primetime game? Woodson has led 3 come from behind 4th qtr wins this season already. And in case anyone forgot, LSU throttled Va Tech early in the year. Woodson beat the team that most people still call the best team in the nation in LSU. I do understand Ryan being a very strong candidate for Heisman. His team is 8-0 and hes led them all year. But the schedule is weak in comparison to Kentucky's schedule.

I never said he should be ahead of Woodson in the race, just that his stats from the game don't matter, he should only be judged on the win under very tough conditions.
