Woodson Would Be A Legend After A Performance Like That

Featured Replies

As I said, go read the update thread for the inspiration. Where did I say UK fans were the only one putting Woodson in the race? Surely you wouldn't try putting words in my mouth...

Bro, you (and others) were acting as if UK fans were delirious to think Woodson was in the race. Did you SAY it? No. Did you infer it? Yes. Was it all just a way to incite an uproar with the UK fandom vocal minority? Probably.

To your first question, if Woodson had been Ryan last night would there have been UK fans that would have poured him with superlatives? Probably. Heck, we have 876 threads a month with "...is he the BEST...", or "...is he the GREATEST...", or "...is he the best of all time.....", or "....is the GREATEST..." It is the nature of fans, as you know, to think and talk in superlatives. So yes, I'm sure there would have been a group of UK fans that would have thrown all sorts of hyperbole at him and you would have responded with calling it shenanigans (bugatti 2002) nearly immediately. It happens 4x a day on BGP, I get used to it.

Delirious that he was the clear front runner at any point. NEVER hinted, implied, inferred, teased or any other synonym that he didn't belong in the race...

On a side note, I am just happy my "shenanigans" call has received proper recognition on BGP.

You're welcome... :p

You are alll wrong because after Oregon wins this week Dixon will be the leader.

Truth or not, if UL hadn't lost to SU and Utah, Brohm would be the frontrunner....We can play that game all afternoon.

:laugh::laugh:

Woodson's already a legend. Case closed.

And at BC so is Ryan...

So please explain why Woodson has a better shot than Ryan...

Because he is a Kentucky fan. You can't get mad at that, but I don't think Woodson has a better chance at all. IMO Ryan is ahead of Woodson right now.

Because he's a better player.

How can you prove that? In your mind he is, but in a lot of other peoples he isn't.

Woodson's already a legend. Case closed.

3 good wins and he is a legend? Are you kidding me.

I think the difference is that Woodson/Brohm are in the same realm as far as stats. Brohm gets more yards, but Woodson has more TDs/fewer INTs.

Ryan just isn't impressive. Aside from being 8-0, his stats aren't really impressive.

Woodson - 191/295 - 2201 yards - 64.7% - 7.46 ypa - 26 TD - 4 INT - 153.79 rating

Brohm - 230/338 - 2993 yards - 68.0% - 8.86 ypa - 24 TD - 6 INT - 162.31 rating

Ryan - 217/356 - 2433 yards - 61.0% - 6.83 ypa - 19 TD - 8 INT - 131.48 rating

All these guys have stats that are as good as Ryan's, and nobody talks about them being in the race.

Sam Bradford - 144/209 - 1872 yards - 68.9% - 8.96 ypa - 20 TD - 5 INT - 170.93 rating

Cullen Harper - 150/235 - 1803 yards - 63.8% - 7.7 ypa - 19 TD - 4 INT - 151.55 rating

Curis Painter - 213/339 - 2238 yards - 62.8% - 6.6 ypa - 22 TD - 6 INT - 136.16 rating

Nate Davis - 166/293 - 2286 yards - 56.7% - 7.8 ypa - 20 TD - 3 INT - 142.67 rating

Kellen Lewis - 163/265 - 1952 yards - 61.5% - 7.4 ypa - 19 TD - 6 INT - 142.52 rating

Willie Tuitama - 219/347 - 2293 yards - 63.1% - 6.6 ypa - 16 TD - 8 INT - 129.23 rating

(edit: I took out Brohm/Woodson/Ryan rushing TDs, b/c I didn't add them to the rest of the guys. TDs listed are only passing TDs)

Because those guys haven't helped their teams to a #2 ranking. That's why those guys are not talked about. Ryan is good, veryyy good and I don't see how people don't see that. Of the guys you named only 3 of them have more TD's and none have more yards. Ryan is good it's time people see that and give him some credit. Woodson isn't the only QB in the country..

3 good wins and he is a legend? Are you kidding me.

How about being the leader of the complete turnaround of a football program? He doesn't have to be a legend to you, but to most UK football fans, he is. Get some perspective, please.

OK, sorry sorry. You UK fans are not use to winning 7-9 games a year so I guess your right, sorry.

No, I guess we're not "use" to that. Apology accepted.

Who cares? Woodson is the real deal. He will play pro. He will make more money than all BGP posters online at any time... combined. Good for him. he earned it... so move on.

However, I watched the QB from Boston last night do some magic last night... so who knows who is the best QB.

It's a never ending battle. Kids have different games on different days. Your opinion does not matter.
