Woodson Would Be A Legend After A Performance Like That

Featured Replies

He is GOOD, but not GREAT. He has 9 fewer TDs and 4 more INTs than Woodson.

Ryan has thrown more passes (356) than everyone in college football besides Graham Harrell (416). Yet he only manages a 4 way tie for 9th in TDs. Sam Bradford of Oklahoma has thrown 147 fewer passes, and still has more TDs.

Lets see what Woodson's stats would look like if he threw as much as Ryan:

Ryan - 217/356 - 2433 yards - 61.0% - 6.8 ypa - 19 TD - 8 INT

Woodson - 230/356 - 2656 yards - 64.6% - 7.5 ypa - 31 TD - 5 INT

I didn't say he was GREAT. But he is a very good QB. Does Ryan have the WR's and RB's that UK has?? NOOOO, it's kind of like Brohm at U of L.

Also, Ryan has been sacked 8 times, Woodson 18 times. Oh, and the biggest stat, BC is #2 in the country :thumb:

You're exactly right...The thread is comparing Ryan to Woodson. I know that Brohm has little to no shot at the award simply because of the way the voting works, and Im fine with that. I bring up his stats in every Heisman thread to show how, IMO, the voting system is skewed. If UK fans want to discredit Brohm's chances using his record as their arguement, I can do the same saying Ryan will win it before Woodson does. I was not praising Brohm over Woodson, Im merely pointing out the fact that there are some on here not seeing the double standard that is so obviously being used to hype Andre'...

The point Im trying to get across is that UK fans CAN NOT use Brohm's record against him if someone else can't use Andre's against him when comparing him to Ryan. I don't care who Woodson has played/beaten.

Just because I can...Because obviously you can't have a decent conversation, I'll keep it comin' with one liners like this.

UK 40

UofL 34

I agree with you on this Duece.

Well I am sure Duece can come back with numbers like this

UofL - 59

UK - 28

Remember that last year??? Just wondering. And you can say, oh well that was last year we are two totaly different teams now, well I think a 40-34 loss is just a littttttle bit better than a 59-28 loss, just me though.

I didn't say he was GREAT. But he is a very good QB.

So now we're giving the Heismann not to GREAT players, but just to GOOD ones who are on highly ranked teams?

What does last year have to do at all with this year? That makes no sense at all. As for the whole record thing, I believe that arguably Woodson leading his team to a 6-2 record is more impressive than Ryan leading his team to a 8-0 record because of how much tougher UK's schedule is.

So Woodson is a GREAT player??

I didn't say last year meant anything, all I said was the score of last years game, thats all. I think 8-0 is a little better than 6-2.

My Bell County Bobcats are 9-0 right now. I believe that Louisville Trinity is 7-2. Considering their schedule who do you think has accomplished more?

So Woodson is a GREAT player??

Considering he's on many mid-season All American teams, a projected first round draft choice, and possibly the first pick in the draft I would think that is a yes. What, do you think he's just okay?

Yeah, actually they've been doing that for awhile now. Remember Gino Toretta?

WOODSON WILL NOT BE THE 1ST PICK IN THE DRAFT

WOODSON WILL NOT BE THE 1ST PICK IN THE DRAFT

How do you know this?

How do you know this?

I don't know that at all, but I sure don't think he will be. So you think Woodson will go before Hart? McFadden? Jackson? Brohm? I think he will go outside of the top 10 or top 15.

You're reaching dude.

Where do you think he will go??

He probably won't but he's listed in the top 10 on most experts projections, though not on yours and I'm sure you know so much more than they do:rolleyes:. He's got a good chance of being the first quarterback taken, depending on the situation and will definately be a first round pick, barring injury. He's set the NCAA record for passes without an interception, led UK to a 17-7 record over the last 2 seasons, led an upset of the number 1 team in the country. You asked someone "So Woodson is a GREAT play??" Do you think he is just okay, good, mediocre or what? I'd say he fits the description of a great player. How many are better than him this season?

I think Woodson is a very good player, but not great. And those "expert projections" how many times do those actualy work out? It's like Lee Croso picking a game. How many have been better than him this year? Not many, but I like Dixon, Tebow, Ryan, and Brennan over him. But of course no one else does because that's just stupid because Andre is "great". I do like Woodson and I am glad to see him leading his team, but don't call him great.
