October 18, 200719 yr Reminds me a little of Gary McCord getting banned from the Master's for basically two comments - calling the gallery "a mob" and noting the "bikini-waxed greens".
October 18, 200719 yr Author A little overboard... Exactly but that's what comedians like Kimmel do. I did chuckle at the Theismann comment.
October 18, 200719 yr It's not like it's any secret Kimmel has made a career out of going for risque humor. If Disney was concerned he might say many things that might offend, don't put him on MNF (and by the same token, don't also sit back and make money from his show). If the MNF franchise hadn't been on a steady decline for many, many years now, they wouldn't have to resort to gimmicks to keep the booth banter interesting.
October 18, 200719 yr Exactly but that's what comedians like Kimmel do. I did chuckle at the Theismann comment. I actually thought he was great. After one of his lines he asked if anyone in the country was still watching the game anyway. The Theisman line was really good too.
October 19, 200719 yr I didn't hear the Theismann bit but I thought it was odd when he asked if they bet on the games.

October 19, 200719 yr The regular Joe liked it the upper class people did not. Guess who wins? I say turn off Monday night football and watch something else and let those upper class stiffs know why. FIGHT THE POWER(lol)
October 19, 200719 yr I didn't think any of it was over the line, the guy's a friggin' comedian for gods sake, people need to lighten up. He says stuff on his show ten times worse (that I don't think crosses the line) and nobody says anything about it. I think Kimmel is absolutely hilarious but I didn't think he was very funny that night, but to be banned is a little extreme imo. Not that he cares anyways.
October 19, 200719 yr They need to lighten up. It was funny. I love Kimmel on the celebrity roast on Comedy Central.
