Granted the TO's cost them, but when you come out only down 7 and your "D" holds the other team to -15, you've got Mr. Heisman at QB and you only manage 3 points--Pitiful!! Well, your comparing defensive TD's that could have been prevented against the defense who did not give up those TD's.

October 5, 200718 yr IMO a sloppy game played by BOTH teams. Not the caliber of game I would expect from a 8 vs. 11 matchup. Give SC credit, they made plays when they had to, and when they weren't able to move the ball they didn't turn it over. I was not overly impressed with either offense. UK showed flashes of brilliance, but Woodson made some very, very poor decisions with the football. UK will look back at this game and just kick themselves for the countless times in the 1st half and begginning of the 2nd and didn't put the ball in the end zone. UK's defense needs a lot of work as well. Countless times they couldn't get off the field on 3rd and long, not to mention they didn't come close to stopping SC when they HAD to get a stop at the end. Honestly, I'm not sure that either team deserves to be ranked as highly as they are at this point. They are both solid teams, just not top 10 teams IMO.
October 5, 200718 yr MAYBE on paper. In terms of this game NO WAY. I hate they need to say any team is "better" after a performance like that. UK was awful in just about every phase of the game... I thought that the defense played Pretty well for the most part, special teams and the "O" kept puttng them in bad situations. JMO the mistakes on special teams and the "O" turning it over is what cost the Cats. Also lets give SC credit, Spurrier was 14-0 vs. Kentucky coming into and no matter what some think I believe that they are a pretty good football team. Other than that - the Gamecocks score more points tonight that will get you beat every time! October 5, 200718 yr Hats off to USC's defense. They adopted UK's mantra from the last 12 games or so.......Bend but don't break and turn the other team over when they make bad decisions. USC was the better team tonight on their field. UK shot themselves in the foot 3 times: Woodson's sack for a scoop and score, Little's muffed punt and Woodson's horrible lateral for a scoop and score. On the Woodson INT in the end zone I have to give USC complete credit--someone had been studying film. The DB ran with the receiver till he got to the center of the field then the did a 180 degree turn and waited on the pass--he knew it was coming. That was simply a great read by USC and their defense. Was UK the better team--not on this night but this was a winnable game, such is life on the road in the SEC, you make a mistake you lose. The simple fact is USC made the plays when it counted and they earned the win. Now UK faces the task of having to pull an upset against either LSU or UF to stay in the race. It isn't out of question but we'll see if this UK team is more than a flash in the pan over the next couple of weeks. On a side note, and I'd like some feedback on these two points, I'm totally against the twotone mouthpieces--they make the player look like he's missing teeth. And is it just me or does Chris James look, and act exactly like "Sack" from Wedding Crashers? Let me know.......It isn't the end of the world Cats but you've got to get a lot better the next couple of weeks.....

UK should have won this game and they are, plain and simple, better than SC. You right, their not a good Team. #11 in the Country with the top D to boot. Played LSU pretty tough in Baton Rouge and lost by 10 or 11. Oh, and their in the SEC. Do you even watch football, or do you just get on here to give UK fans crap all day long? Isn't there like a Hoosierpreps site somewhere?

South Carolina is a good team but he is dead on this is a game that UK definitely should have won. However UK played like crap, and choked. UK just played horrible football tonight plain and simple, if UK plays the way they can, then this is a game they should win...

October 5, 200718 yr The Cats actually played a team that had a Defense tonight thats why they struggled. Not to mention SC does have the 2nd best Defense in the SEC and one of the best in the nation. Yes UK could have easily won this game but South Carolina is very good and executed very well tonight.
October 5, 200718 yr Saying South Carolina is bad is just plain silly. The D played better than good enough to win. Certainly a frustrating game when at times it looked like we were in control. As much as we all love Andre, he killed us tonight. You can't turn the ball over like that and expect to win, no matter who you are playing. Little put together a pretty nice game outside of the two fumbles. The rush D was pretty solid and the pressure on the QB was decent. Hats off to SC... they made us pay for our mistakes.
October 5, 200718 yr If, according to a LOT of UK fans, Brohm lost his chances losing to UK and still performing pretty well, Woodson has no chance either then after tonight.... No chance after losing to the #11 team in the nation? Come on. So then Darren McFadden shouldn't even be considered?
October 5, 200718 yr South Carolina isn't bad, but Kentucky is a better team. Woodson's two fumbles and his INT killed Kentucky.
