October 5, 200718 yr So everybody knows the DEFENSE played well tonight!!! And admit they did. 14 points given up by the offense. The thing that led to this victory was USC was in the lead the entire night. If they were forced to play from behind, UK would have won. I know, would have, could have, should have, BUT; UK's defense played good enough to win this one!
October 5, 200718 yr You know what...UK lost a road game against a vicious USC team....on paper they are better than USC, it's just a nightmare to go on the road in the SEC (the toughest conference in America by far)....Andre has a lot to improve on...Mainly because what he saw tonight will pale in comparison to next Saturday....UK is the better team, IMO....nerves got to them...that's why college football is so special. I think this post nails it. And let's remember in the past that playing the No. 11 team on the road would have been a 42-0 score at halftime. So, I'm at least happy we can say that No. 11 South Carolina beating us on the road disappoints us in the sense that we expected to win. It is still a loss but we have lost much more spectaculary.

The "D" held SC to -15 yds in the 3rd quarter and lost the quarter 7-3--That lost the game for them IMO!!

('Course they let Curry and his football genius have his say, too.) The group of guys I was watching the game with said that this was the downfall for UK tonight. They claimed that the team began to falter as Curry was speaking and continued to falter during the remainder of the game as a result of the "Curry Curse".

October 5, 200718 yr If, according to a LOT of UK fans, Brohm lost his chances losing to UK and still performing pretty well, Woodson has no chance either then after tonight.... Imo Brohm lost the chance after Syracuse hung a big "L" on the Cards and you are probably correct about Woodson losing what chance he had, if not with this one the probably in a couple of more SEC games. LSU, Fla. and probably Ga. to name a few.

Granted the TO's cost them, but when you come out only down 7 and your "D" holds the other team to -15, you've got Mr. Heisman at QB and you only manage 3 points--Pitiful!!
