October 7, 200718 yr I was in attendace at the game and it was all about the mistakes. I know that point has been made many times in this thread however it bears repeating. I believe the game would have been different if UK would have been able to take the lead at the end of the 2nd quarter w/ at minimum a field goal. It would have been interesting to see Smelly trying to work from behind and that may have played into UK's hands. Anytime you gift-wrap 14 points on the road (or even at home) that is hard to overcome. USC did a great job of protecting the ball throughout the game. One final note: The USC crowd was amazing. I really wish UK's student section would bring the type of energy I witnessed in the land of the Gamecocks. Still love UK and hope they win at least one of the next two against very good teams.
