USF should be no higher than 11 or 12 in either poll. However, I don't think Florida would kill them. The Tampa Trib. had USF projected to the Sugar Bowl against the Gators this morning. I don't think that will happen, but wouldn't that be something?

Just put it this way the Polls should'nt come out until Oct 22

Not a bad thought, but then what would TV do? as they love the polls.

With that said what would BGP do?

If the big east is going to have anything to crow about they better hope USF is legit.

Not only don't I think USF is over-rated (well, any more so than many teams due to last week's upheaval, as was mentioned), I think they'll win the Big East. They have most of their key games at home and have already defeated the team that nearly everyone expected to roll through the league.

'Rat, I think your boys are BCS Bowl-bound.

Based on their performance to date, South Florida is not overrated

I agree.

Seeing the crowd against West Virginia the other night, I'm sure the Orange Bowl would be tickled to have the Bulls!

I have been as impressed with the Bull's defense as any team I've seen this year and therefore don't think they are overated at all. They at least know how to wrap up on the tackle. They seem to cover the spread offense well, also. The key to stopping this type of offense is to have very fast and strong defensive ends that will play under control (at least that is my observation anyway). SF's do a good job of handling this assignment. I look for them to win the Big East this year with a good showing in a BCS bowl.

It appears that they are getting the recruits that Miami (Fl) once got, at least to this outsider-looking-in. There are always plenty of D1 quality recruits in the state of FL. It will be interesting to see if they can sustain what they have started in the coming seasons.

Are the the 6th best team in the nation? No, but there defense is very impressive but im not sold on there offense. I think there a top 15 team.

No more overrated than UK at this point...

I think you are right.SF and UK are both probably overrated but what do you do with an undefeated SEC and Big East team? I dont think there is any place else you can put them. Look for Purdue to make a big jump this week....same scenario, undefeated Big Ten school.

I dont think you can look at games like that.....UF would kill USF...

This statement is VERY much not true! And due to that fact, I will say no, they are not overrated.

Big test on Thursday for Cats.

Look for Purdue to make a big jump this week....same scenario, undefeated Big Ten school.

If PU is undefeated after this week, they'll make a HUGE jump.

Coach Schnellenberger put it best on the Joe B and Denny Show last week,

"USF, FAU, UCF and others are now getting those D1 recruits that UF, UM and FSU didn't have enough scholarships for and keeping those kids from leaving the state. One of the first things I did at UL was go to Florida to tap into the great number of D1 caliber athletes in that state. Now, they have other options in the state besides the big 3."

He has his finger on the pulse of why those other Florida colleges are doing so well nowadays. There are more D1 football players coming from high schools in Florida than almost any state in the country.
