One of the first things I did at UL was go to Florida to tap into the great number of D1 caliber athletes in that state. Now, they have other options in the state besides the big 3." He has his finger on the pulse of why those other Florida colleges are doing so well nowadays. He asked Coach Saban to let him go back to his home state due to a child and Coach said "no Problem". Mike Ford another freshman running back tried to get into Bama the last two years and couldn't get his scores. So I kinda pull for the Bulls.

October 3, 200718 yr 81, Mike Ford tried for three years to get into Bama. We did everything we could do...Hargrave school , retakes of tests, and he couldn't get in. Like I said he let Jamal go back home to be with his son. Released him the next day. Check out "TideFans.com" and search Mike Ford and you will see what I mean. Saban is trash? Peanut Whitehead couldn't get into Bama, where is he at? Do some research before you call a man "trash". on a public website. I got more if you want me to go there. October 3, 200718 yr At the end of the season, if the question is will they be ranked this high....probably not but are they over-rated currently, not at all. They've got the job done to date. :thumb::thumb: Right now USFG deserves their ranking.

October 3, 200718 yr ACC has lost some kids do the same reasons as schools in the SEC, those kids are at other schools and playing, thats all Saban said, and if that makes him "trash".

October 3, 200718 yr I don't think USF is the 6th best team in the nation, but with the way the polls work, they are absolutely deserving of their spot. Besides that, they have two nice wins on their resume...@ Auburn and West Virginia. At this point in the season, those two wins are as good as anyone else can claim, IMO.

There are more D1 football players coming from high schools in Florida than almost any state in the country. Actually he wasn't the first. Roy Kidd did a lot in Florida in the late 70's through the 80's to build Eastern Kentucky into it's National Status. Like Schnell said, those kids are staying home now and in their home state schools.
