For those who question my post, have you seen Hunter play? You do realize he has been pretty much the man when he stepped up to the line? And that people were questioning wether Brohm even deserved to have the starting spot back when he came back, right?

I guess not. History doesn't matter unless you've seen it on Sportscenter this week.

That just kicked your credibility in the groin...

Thank goodness I'm wearing a cup.

(Not literally, because that would just be wierd... I'm simply referring to the fact that Hunter has stepped up very nicely when we need him to, and I can't wait to see him start next year. Woodson's got game experience on him, that's about it).

Team Comparisons now of UK and UL IMO

Better defense: UK...Wow cant believe I said that, but probably true

Better running game: UK

Better Passing game: Even

Better Special teams: UL

Better Coach: UK :D

I felt UofL's pass game was better. Rockpride is right, Woodson has to get rid of the ball a little quicker meaning he has to make his decisions quicker. He had Tamme open a couple of times and pump faked or hesitated giving the D enough time to cover him up. Brohm definately has no problem knowing where he is going when he wanted to throw. His accuracy however killed a few drives for UofL as he overthrew or underthrew his recievers a couple of times on plays I felt they had a step on the DB.

Woodson didn't get rattled on that game winning drive....

A Cool Hand Luke performance!

So you want to insult us and say we don't remember anything except for the play of the night on Sports Center after you are saying UL's back up is who you would take over atleast probably a top 3 QB to come out of college this year.

Not a big surprise. My guess it will come to do the football version of "do you like blondes or brunettes."

However, the point I've tried to make as well as others is that as good as Brohm is, Woodson is right there with him from a pro perspective.

I think Andre' Woodson has a bigger upside at the next level. He played in a non-passing offense in high school and had poor fundamentals upon his arrival to UK. He reminds me very much of former Auburn player and current Washington Redskins, Jason Campbell. I think the pro scouts love him for his raw size and ability, vast improvement, and major upside.

Brian Brohm is a fabulous college quarterback who should have a nice NFL career. He is very polished (he was at the high school) and very heady, all results of the tremendous coaching he has had to this point. He does not have the physical stature of Andre' although he has good size. I say he is closer to 6'2" than the listed 6'4", but that is still adequate height. My concern as a pro scout would be the obvious decrease in mobility he has shown since his high school days. Is it the added weight or the bum knee?

The state of Kentucky should be proud of the fact that two of maybe the best three college quarterbacks in the country are homegrown Kentuckians!

To me, to have to choose between the two is like choosing between Raquel Welch and Cindy Crawford.

I'm not insulting anyone, just having a friendly dialogue.

And I really would have a hard time picking between the two QB's. If Hunter had gone to UK, who would be starting??? Tough call.

Ram2003, how about this? If Brohm gets drafted before Andre (minus either player getting an injury), I'll sport a UL avatar from April's draft up to the football game in September. However, if Woodson gets drafted beofre Brian (again, minus an injury), than you sport a UK avatar during the same period.

Deal?

Brohm doesn't have Woodson's arm strengh. If he could have thrown the ball to the end zone Sat. nite, with the same outcome on the receiving end,UK would have lost the game.He can't throw the ball as far as Woodson can.Other than that he is a great qb at most parts of the game.

I think you're right on arm strength. There was one other throw where Douglas was open down the left sideline but the ball was short and bounced before Douglas could get under it.

Great mid-range passer (and obviously a great "qb sneaker").

I think the real question is who has more upside? I think Brohm is near peaking in terms of talent and production. What you see is what you get and it's pretty good. I don't think Woodson has peaked yet and he is a better athlete.

Woodson may slightly be a better "athlete" as far as who has more upside? That's kind of a loaded question. Woodson still has a lot of room for improvement, unlike Brian....it is as close to a push as can be. The main seperation, IMO, is the quickness of release for Brian right now, if Andre can learn to make that quicker he will have a long successful NFL career.
