Tell me then what has Brohm improved on since he's been at UL?

His recognition of defenses pre-snap...his velocity is way, way up, and his footwork is much improved.

I trust your assessment more than anyone’s on Brohm... I just feel he came to UL with all the tools a great college QB needs and he's seen moderate improvement on those skills...

Because look what Brohm has done in his career and look at Woodson.

Career Stats

Brian Brohm

541 of 815, 7.893 yards, 52 touchdowns, 13 INT.

Has won over 20 games at starting quaterback.

Won a BCS bowl game.

2-1 against Andre Woodson and Kentucky.

Andre Woodson

529 of 855, 6,394 yards, 48 touchdowns, 14 INT.

Has won less than 15 games at starting quaterback.

Not won a BCS game, not even been to one.

1-2 against Brian Brohm and Louisville.

Woodson has came a long way from the past years, but Brohm is still the better of the two, hands down for me. Brohm's defense is letting him down this year but U of L still should win more games than Kentucky and Woodson. Brohm will have the better stats of the two at seasons end, and will take U of L to a bigger and better bowl game than what Woodson will at UK.

The parts I bolded, I thought we were talking about who was the better QB and not who had the better team the last few years....We all know when Brohm and Woodson came into college Brohm was definitely better than Woodson. There is no one even questioning that..However Woodson has improved A TON over the last two years, and is pretty much right there with Brohm now like it or not. Your whole BCS thing just shows one thing and that is Brohm has had more talent around him. You got to remember UK was coming off probation and not having all their schalarships for awhile that they were coming from. Now UK is starting to catch up when it comes to talent we see that Woodson is right there with Brohm. Yeah I will admit I would give Brohm a VERY SLIGHT edge over Woodson RIGHT NOW. But you keep acting like its not even close, and bringing up stats from their first two years, when that means nothing right now to who the better QB is. If the question was who has had the better career then yes it is Brohm by ALOT. But it is who the better QB is now, and Woodson is right with Brohm now like it or not...

Brohm had 91 more yards than Woodson. Woodson didn't kill Brohm in the stats category or in the game.

Woodson has 2 more TD's and NO INTS.. I will take those stats, thanks.

I noticed you said his velocity is way up.. but on that last hail mary he only aired it out 50 yards with a running head start. Is that as far as he can throw it? It's not bad, but average in the NFL.

And that makes him a better QB? Was Rex Grossman the best QB in the AFC last year? They had the best record?

That would be pretty impressive if he was considering he played in the NFC.

Both are good QB's but I think Brohm is still the better of the two and will have the better career in the NFL.

Well I agree I thought he had a stronger arm than that, but in his defense, it was a little longer than 50 yeards because he threw it from the left side of the field to the right side of the field..

I think the real question is who has more upside? I think Brohm is near peaking in terms of talent and production. What you see is what you get and it's pretty good. I don't think Woodson has peaked yet and he is a better athlete.

There's a big difference between velocity and arm strength.

I think Brohm has a slight edge over Woodson but I think that the stats are a moot point. I mean, how many games has Brohm sat out the 4th quarter due to blowouts... and how many games has Woodson been playing 2nd string defenses in the fourth quarter...

That would be pretty impressive if he was considering he played in the NFC.
Wow, welcome to 14 hours ago...

You know what I meant.

Brohm will lose in this forum....but I still believe that as of right now..he is the better QB, down the road for Woodson to be better he will have to speed up his delivery, that really is his only flaw.

What are Brohm's flaws???

I'd pick Brohm over Woodson, for sure. I'd be hard pressed to even put Woodson over Hunter Cantwell.
