Maybe a little. Regardless of when UofL plays UK they will be "up" for the game, and the week. It just hurt UofL for the first two games, I don't think there will be lingering effects if UofL's defense performs effectively this Saturday.

How has it really hurt them unless their defense really isn't that good and you did get exposed. The only way I can see it hurting is maybe the MTSU game being nationally televised and the defense gets shreaded and it may hurt their perception, trying to make it to the championship game.

From a marketing standpoint, yes it was a stupid move, but other than that nothing wrong with it. It does go against tradition, but it does also give Kentucky a couple warm up games before hand. Its almost fact that Kentucky always starts out their season slow and sluggish as Louisville always open up their season rolling. I think this way both teams are on more of a competitive level and the opening week effect no longer will play a factor.

I Think U of L benefited also. But tomorrow night we'll know for sure.

I could be wrong, but I really think it benefitted UK. I like the game being a couple weeks in. I think UK is the type of team that could really use a couple of tune-ups, rather than going straight in against a top ten opponent. Of course, our DT's would have been healthy in game 1...:lol:

 

I think U of L should benefit from it as well. It should give them a chance to correct some defensive flaws.

 

I like that fact that both teams have shaken off the rust and should be coming into the this game with a better idea of what they have in '07 and ready to go.

I think yes... This is the most excited I've been about the game in a while, and having a couple of weeks of preparation makes it better.

I think that it was a good move because both teams should of ironed out some things before the game......
