I think when I first made this poll, I was more referring to the hype that seemed to surround this game. Not only had we dealt w/ the preseason hype that normally comes w/ college ball, we got to then experience two weeks prior to the games getting hyped up by seeing how both teams played and allowing both teams to grab some national exposure. While maybe it was just my perception, I felt like going into this game tonight there was more hype surrounding it then even normal. While maybe that was just the kentucky folk of the world, I gotta say that I heard a good amount about the game even being in St. Louis the past two weeks. So perhaps, unknowingly, the moving of this game to a later date, even if for one season, caused a bit more hype then normal. Still, wow, this game tonight was a lot of fun.

I think yes... This is the most excited I've been about the game in a while, and having a couple of weeks of preparation makes it better.

 

IMHO, I think us UK fans were so excited because it was our best chance to beat UL in the past 5 seasons, regardless of when the game was played.

Of course I was excited because I thought that this was the best chance for UK to beat UL, but it was more than that. Something about the fact that these 2 dynamite offenses had 2 tune-up games to prepare and get all their kinks worked out made this one seem that much more attractive to me. Seeing that they both had top 15 offenses and both had 2-0 records... A lot of variables combined to make me feel like this was a good decision, and they did get the W so nobody is going to complain too much.

I had been looking forward to it for awhile, but it wasn't until the UL/MTSU game that I really started to feel that UK had a very good chance at winning. Watching the UofL D against MTSU just made me all happy thinking about what Woodson and Little could do.

I said it was the whole time. Some disagreed, but it sure looks like it worked out well for UK.

As bad as I hate to say it, maybe 'ol Mitch does know what he's doing.

I like the change but i'm very disappointed that it will not be on ESPN or ESPN 2. I don't know how I'm gonna catch it in Georgia?

I love the game at #3, but only if next year it returns to ESPN. ESPN Classic wasn't even hi-def:mad:
