September 7, 200719 yr Not likely. Even if Louisville's defense plays like they did against MTSU, they could still be favored against UK because of their offense. The defense is cause for concern from a U of L standpoint when you look at the season as a whole, and certainly to some degree the UK game...but, the key to this game will be how much UK's defense can slow the U of L offense down. They aren't going to shut them down, but they can't let U of L score every time they get the ball until the game is out of reach like they did last year...if our defense can't come up with a few stops, the U of L defense will be a moot point as far as the "rivalry" game goes... It will have to be fixed if U of L wants to achieve its goals this year...but it still may not be enough of problem to cost them the UK game if the Wildcat defense can't come up with something. Well said. :thumb:

September 7, 200719 yr No...I'm saying this was NO flavor Defense! At least vanilla would have livened it up a bit. That would make it the Tofu Defense.
September 7, 200719 yr That would make it the Tofu Defense. Oh, Man, that was funny, swampy. The Tofu D, I like it. :ylsuper:
September 7, 200719 yr I believe they did. I also believe that the MTSU/FAU game was an anomole for MTSU, much as our complete and total meltdown @ South Florida was for us some years ago. No, MTSU isn't Ohio State, but they're no JUCO either. Actually it was year before last and since UofL hasn't won in Tampa yet (0-2), we'll see on Nov. 17 whether that was an anomaly or not.
September 7, 200719 yr Ohhhhhhhhh C-A-R-S CARS CARS CARS!!!!!!!! Cause Louisville sure as you know what don't have a D!!

September 7, 200719 yr Ohhhhhhhhh C-A-R-S CARS CARS CARS!!!!!!!! Cause Louisville sure as you know what don't have a D!! That's great...I hope the Louisville Carinals show up at Commonwealth Stadium on September 15.
September 7, 200719 yr It doesnt matter if the D gives up 40 if the O scores 41. I (a UK fan) just don't see too many teams shutting that offense down. Slowing it down maybe...but not stopping it. I think we could be in for some fireworks next week...TWO great offenses (loaded with KY talent) going head to head...this could make for a lot of fun in Commonwealth stadium...and possibly a classic!
September 7, 200719 yr Was very disapointed with the highlights of this game. UC looked better tonight.
September 7, 200719 yr You are funny Jim. That's what I was thinking...never heard of a trap game where a team was favored by 40+ points...
