Dan Mercer New Coach at Green (OH)

Veteran coach and AD Dan Mercer is returning to sidelines at Green (OH). This came out of nowhere.

I can only echo the previous statements. Good luck to Coach Dan Mercer with the Green Bobcats (I think that is the nickname). Dan will do a fine job I am sure with that program, he has experience, knowledge and class. :thumb:

Dan Mercer was an assistant football coach at Greenup Co. in the 80's, then the Head Coach for 3 years. Then he became an assistance at Raceland and the assistant principle. He latter became the principle at the High School, and by district rules, stepped down as an assistant coach, He also served a period as AD at Raceland before going back to GC as the AD.

 

His son-in-law, and past player he coached at GC, is an assistant at Ashland.

His other son-in-law is the former b-ball coach of Rock Hill, Ohio
