hokiefromky
Thought about you when I first read this. Wasn't sure if you still attended there or not. Did you go to VaTech? Graduated Class of 2004. I had many classes in Norris Hall - as did any other engineering student.
rockcastleraiders
I share an office with someone who has a brother that is an engineering student at VTech. He just got off the phone with him and thankfully he is doing fine. He lives in a dorm that is next to the one where the 1st shooting took place this morning. His brother has class in Norris Hall, but not on Mondays. Talk about a scare!

HHSDad
Talk about a scare! I can't imagine going through this if my son was there. It would be so much worse if I couldn't get hold of him.

Hasbeen
MSNBC interviewed a man who was shot and he said it was an Asian man with a leather jacket on. He didn't say anything and just come in and unloaded a round into the classroom. He says 10-15 people in the room where hit. Although every report I've seen says the shooter is dead, I've seen this and another similar photo. http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,4644,1642,00.html#4_0 Scroll down about halfway to see the photo. Wireman
The university reported shootings at opposite sides of the 2,600-acre campus, beginning at about 7:15 a.m. at West Ambler Johnston, a co-ed residence hall that houses 895 people, and continuing about two hours later at Norris Hall, an engineering building. How did he escape the first location and get to the second without being caught?

He was probably a suspect that was detained because he fit the description -- just my theory.
