The top runners by what MSN.com says is Billy D, Jay Wright, Tom Crean, John Calipari, Rick Barnes, Billy Gillispie and Thad Matta. All of these coaches i wouldnt have a problume with them at all. They all are great coaches and i think UK would be back where it should be with one of these guys.

No thanks to those guys...

Cal and Crean are the two guys that pop up no matter who writes the story.

I'm really starting to think it's going to be Cal...

Based on what?

I hope the name the new coach soon; because, "As-yet-unnamed-but-highly-speculated-upon-new-coach bashers" is a mouthful!

I think that UK should give a hard look to Billy D. Hes a good coach but i will just have to keep dreaming, he wont leave UF.

I hope Mitch at least makes a run at Billy D.

Billy D is never going to leave Fla For UK!!!

Here is the last 10 years.

1997-98 22 8 Sweet Sixteen Lost to North Carolina 58-73

1998-99 33 5 Final Four Lost to Duke 62-68

1999-00 32 7 NCAA Champions Beat Florida 89-76

2000-01 28 5 Final Four Lost to Arizona 61-80

2001-02 19 12 First Round Lost to North Carolina State 58-69

I would love it.......The guy can flat out recruit.....:thumb:

Why would he reject an extension, he must have something on mind.

The extension just became much, much larger.

I really hope we can land Calipari...I love his coaching...

Based on what?

Just a hunch from gathering information over the last few hours. He is already hated by UL and UT fans, he is as good as it gets at recruiting and he wants out of CUSA. It all adds up right now IMO...
