Please Mitch Barnhart, whatever you do, DO NOT even consider John Calipari....That man will destroy the tradition of this program. UK basketball would never be able to recover from him. Please go after Gillispie, Few, Izzo, Crean or Billy D.

Donovan, that's it guys.

A lot of the so called experts are saying that with Barnhardt being a western USA guy that he will go after Gonzaga's head coach.

Here's what I think.

 

If UK doesn't name a coach before the end of the tournament, it will be because they KNOW they have Donovan on ice. UK is hurtin for certain on the recruitment front at the moment, and they're facing the possible defection of their key post player (Morris.) It's a very serious gamble for them to wait on someone. I think that, combined with the fact that the price tag on Donovan will be outrageous, means that UK is going to end up going elsewhere.

I don't know what type of chance UK has of getting Patterson or Lucas, but if they want any type of chance, they better name a big name coach fast. Waiting on Billy would take too long.

Funny, I've heard that he would be very interested if approached....(Note, this is just something I've been told, don't know of its validity.)
