Let's be honest...how many coaches WANT and can ENDURE the pressure of this job? And after what happened today,how many would want the job knowing it's going to take 2 to 3 years to rebuild...the list is short! You have to be able to THRIVE under pressure (not just endure it)....

A coach confident in his abilitys would run to Lexington to get this job. There is going to be tons of interest in this job, people keep talking like were not even gonna get an applicant, UK may not get a better person as their next coach probably not possible. But they will defintely get a better coach.

Anybody else find it funny that people are hoping certain coaches lose in the Sweet 16 so that Kentucky can hire them to get Kentucky PAST the Sweet 16? :lol:

how about Sean Miller from Xavier???? hes a young coach, with talent. lets throw his hat in the ring.

I had a friend (who is a UK fan), tell me today that they wanted Jay Bilas to be the next coach.

I would like Pitino to come back. What does anyone think of the chances?

 

Honestly, I say 0.....He has tons of talent coming back at the Ville.

 

I personally would not want him back either.....He seems to have lost his passion for the game.

I wonder if UK fans regret how he was treated his first time back in Rupp? After that, there's zero chance he'll ever coach for UK again.

 

Well that would be one of the many reasons why he wouldn't come back, but one of the other big reasons IMO would be his respect for Tubby. He wouldn't come here because of the way people treated Tubby...

Every program he has been at, he has turned them around. He has now been to 3 programs who were probably at rock bottom when he took over, and within 2 years he has gotten all three of them alot better. The reason why you never here his name around the country much is because after he rebuilds a program he usually gets offered a better job, and has to start rebuilding again. He is a young coach that is going to get a big time job here soon....
