Doesnt Billy D have a clause in his contract that allows him to talk to UK if they come calling?

Their AD doesn't sound worried. I think Florida will throw money Billy D's way, and that'll be the end of the story.

Meanwhile, while watching the defending national champion Gators practice in St. Louis in preparation for their Sweet 16 game against Butler on Friday, Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley did not seem particularly concerned if Kentucky pursues coach Billy Donovan.

When asked whether he expected Kentucky to contact Donovan, Foley replied, "It's a free world. There's nothing to prevent them from doing that."

"We're trying to win an NCAA championship. He's our coach and he's been tremendously loyal for a long time. That's all I'm going to say about it."

Donovan and Foley have been discussing a contract extension but have not agreed to one. Foley said he expected it to get done.

Then some people whould complain about a slow style of play anyways.

I care about winning style of play. Izzo is a winner.

But didnt he have this before hand????????

Why would he reject an extension, he must have something on mind.

Thank you

He's had his chance at a top level D1 school and hasn't impressed me. No thanks.

I would certainly like to see Izzo resume.

...and UK goes to the NIT in 2008

If they are LUCKY. Also I would like to see them go after Bob Huggins. Kansas State, did well at UC had a beef with University President. My personal vote would be to bring back "THE MAN". really the only time time in past 20 that we had "IT".

Will the entire UK staff leave, too?

He said his players were rejecting NBA money, so he'd pass on an extension/raise to show support.

I think he knew he'd get more later. From UF or someone else.

I hope Billy Donavon comes to UK but I was watching ESPN and Andy Katz said that he will be totally stunned is Billy leaves Florida because they are a powerhouse now and are a better program than UK at the moment. He said that Billy didn't play at UK, just coached there and his roots aren't even with UK but at Providence.

I hope that it works out for UK though, they need to get a top notch coach and not settle for a quick hire.

Only if we're lucky.

Better question, will they follow him to Minnesota.

The top runners by what MSN.com says is Billy D, Jay Wright, Tom Crean, John Calipari, Rick Barnes, Billy Gillispie and Thad Matta. All of these coaches i wouldnt have a problume with them at all. They all are great coaches and i think UK would be back where it should be with one of these guys.
