Congratulations to a great guy and a super young coach. As was mentioned above, Holmes got a perfect hire for them. Steve has an uphill job, but I know he is going into this job with both eyes open and is ready and able to meet the challenge head-on.

Wow, a few weeks ago everyone was saying that Holmes was the worst caoching job in nky. And now a young Highlands grad takes over the helm in Covington. Must not have been bad enough for him to turn it down. Good luck in the cov Steve.

I still think it is one of the worst. However, with that said, if Lickert wants to step up the ranks and possibly get with some of the elite big school programs he will have to show he can coach at the big schools. I am sure this was soley a professional move for him and I am sure it was very tough having to meet with those Greendevil players to tell them the news. He was very well liked in D-town and will be missed. Good luck with the fiasco at Holmes.
