Congrats Coach Brossart! :dancingpa

The other thread gives a lot of good info about Coach Brossart. He went to and played at Beechwood. He went on to star at Georgetown College.

Coach Brossart taught at CCH and while he coached at Indian Hill and then went on to be the head football coach at Finneytown.

Dave is a class act and a great guy and I think CCH made a very good choice!

The Ru with the scoop.

From the other thread, sounds like he ran the same defense and offense that Rodenburg ran? Will he be bringing any of his staff him?

Do we know if they annocumented that Coach Brossart will be the next coach.

They will.

How does everyone know so soon. The kids and teachers at Cov Cath dont even know yet

What year did he graduate from Beechwood from? What position did he play?

This can't be accurate information. Those "in the know" made it very clear this would not leak to us internet geeks first.

I think 1989.

He was an offensive lineman.

Congrats to both CCH and Coach Brossart. Cov Cath got a coach who WANTS to stay and Coach Brossart got kids who WANT to play football. Now I hope it works out for the both of them.

Good Luck to both Coach Brossart and Cov Cath:banana:

I wonder if his 3-3-5 is really a version of the 5-3 Brossart ran at Beechwood, who still runs the 5-3.

When I saw CCH run this, they were just naming their DE's as OLBs.

guru, do you know if Coach Brossart will be meeting with the team tomorrow or Friday?

We we said this on 2/1:

They have their man, it is a done deal and it will come out when the time is right, when they feel like it. Trust me, nothing will leak out before the announcement. Cov Cath is a class organization and letting things like this leak so on-line chat rooms can talk about it will not happen. Everyone take a deep breath, relax and when it comes out it will be discussed.

You will all be surprised, it's not Wolfe or Wirth. You're at the wrong end of the alphabet!! And no, not Acito either!

So much for being air tight. Looks like someone knew at least 10 days before the announcement and prior to interviews.

Which begs the question...why waste other coaches time?

Dont know a lot about him, but it sounds like CCH made a good choice. What kind of Offense does Brossart run??

Maybe that explains why they advertised the opening in the classifieds next to "9 year old girls soccer tryouts" ad in The Post last week. All a formality! PLEASE!!!
