Something could be said on finding a good job and staying there instead of always looking for a better job. 

HS has almost got as bad as college. Win now, don't worry about how the coach actually treats kids and if he does it the right way. 

A couple of the guys who were one or two and done over that time period didn't have bad years. 

 

Tony Wise went 23-11, region semi-finals in 2011/12 and was let go. 

They did go to the state final four the next year with Happy Osborne as coach. 

 

Jason Holland replaced Happy after one season and went 29-3 but lost in the regional final and was let go at season's end.

The Jason Holland thing to this day still makes me so confused and almost mad. 3 losses and you fire somebody after 1 year. In what world, short of scandal, does that make any sense at all?

Can anyone who knows post MoCo's list of coaches over the last 15 years, their records, time there, etc? Similar to what Brooksville did on the Bracken County thread. Thanks.

Thanks for doing that so quick, didn't remember Coach Daniel being there for that long. How many years did Coach High coach the girls team? Didn't Daniel and Bentley coach girls' teams at other schools as well?

Wow! Happy Osbourne went 33-5! Would have done a lot to keep him around. Jason Holland 26-3?!?! What are the circumstances around coaches having success then leaving Montgomery Co? It appears the real successful coaches didn’t last longer than 1 year.

Coach Daniel is rolling at The University of the Cumberlands now too!  They’re headed back to the final 16 of the NAIA again this season.

I believe happy left for the Ky. Wesleyan job.  MOCO was just a stopover between Georgetown and Wesleyan.

Any news on a potential hire? Will it happen before Easter or closer to summer break?

We had a Superintendent issue during this period!
