St. X was as talented as advertised. They were able to quickly stop the bleeding after the 1st quarter, they re-grouped, and they controlled the pace for the remaining 24 minutes of the game. Their shooting was lights-out too.

Congratulations to the Tigers...now go win the tournament!

When the Tigers are sharp, they're the best team in the state by a noticeable margin.

St. X is a very good team but to shoot 12/18 (67%) on three pointers in the state tournament is absurd.  If they had shot their normal percentage of 37% CC would have been up by 1.  Of course it took good player and ball movement to even get those shots but that is way outside the norm.

Good job St. X. I wasn't there but sounds like an electric atmosphere!

I wonder how much of the leniency was due to the fact that they are playing on college goals.  They are made to take a lot more punishment than what you will find at most high schools.  It seemed like they were letting the players get away with more what you see in an NCAA game than a high school game.

I thought a couple of the dunks would have been technical fouls in a NCAA game.

I will be honest.  I do not follow HS BB well, and haven’t followed this thread. Heard locally (from Cov Cath people) that the blind draw totally messed this tournament up.  If true, I think it is wrong. These kids work so hard, why isn’t it seeded?

Hey there @Beechwoodfan, nice to see you join the conversation.  

Anyone from CCH that says the tournament is messed up because of a blind draw is nothing but a major league cry baby.

The KHSAA doesn't seed, that is the way it is, that is the way it always has been.  

You have to beat the good teams at some point and CovCath failed.

Whoever wins the tourney has to beat 4 teams that each won their respective region. End of story.

Also, ANY team that shoots 12/18 from 3 is going to win at Rupp. End of story.

Because seeding is subjective.
