I saw them throw against CAL, Ballard, Franklin County & Atherton.  Again, it's just 7v7, but I was surprised by what appeared to be an overall lack of team speed.  Take that for what you want.

It'll take time for Landis. Those expecting a miraculous turnaround in year 1 are going to have to be patient. I expect them to start rolling in year 3.

Miraculous turnaround?  X has been solid in recent years but they have run up against some very good Trinity and Ryle teams.

I expect them to be back to where they're defeating Trinity regularly once this monster senior class graduates from Trinity.

That would be healthy for 6A football and probably scary to anyone not named Trinity or St. Xavier.

Well he might not like what he finds any better in the 15 years before that (2001-2016). A guy named Bob Beatty had a little bit of success during that span as well. 

In the last 25 years, the Tigers are 12 - 28 vs the Shamrocks. If St. X fans consider that as “regularly” defeating the Shamrocks, so be it. Let’s not even mention football state championships in the last quarter century.

Considering we are talking about Trinity, 12 victories against the Rocks in 40 games is really good.

Appears to be, yes.

The quarterback position at St X is not decided. 

I'm looking forward to the scrimmage with Frederick Douglass to see what St. X looks like under new coach. I expect Frederick Douglass to be very good since they were relatively young last year so will be a good test for St. X.
