They have 4 upperclassman Q’s off the top of my head, you’d think there’d be some chatter on here about that. 

I would think it would be tough sledding for X this year after Busch/Harbin/Trimble left. 

Who wins at Q? Any signs of life on offense or this going to be a grind it out D-centric team?

 

Hopefully they get the running game fixed regardless of who becomes the QB.

Spring practices have been in the morning at the crack of dawn so unless you're on the team or an early riser wouldn't know much. I haven't seen one practice whereas in past could see some of them. I would imagine with Coach Landis being a defensive coach he'll want to lean on running the ball to control the clock. I'm really looking forward to fall practice and the scrimmages to see what the team looks like. 

A lot of energy for those morning practices based off of social media. As stated above, having a defensive head coach usually means a bit more emphasis on the run game, so we'll see how that goes during summer practices. 

The kids are excited about what’s happening and are putting in the work. Conditioning seems to be more of a focus. The program is moving in a good direction.

My assumption is it's because of a general lack of competition around greater-Louisville. I believe the teams they're going to be playing against from Male and Ballard are both freshmore teams (freshman & sophomores, both), that's about it for Jefferson County freshman competitors. I know Bullitt East has fielded a freshman team a year or two, and I think the Oldham County schools try to work in freshmore programs too, but regardless, it's tough for them to find good competition.

The schools in Central Kentucky have a decent number of programs that are local to them, without having to travel to Louisville, and the same for Northern Kentucky, where they have a load of Cincinnati teams if they need to fill out their schedule.

One less opponent to secure a game with & there is some money made anytime these programs play each other.

I agree and it is another game that should push each team and those are tough to find without a lot of travel. 

I’m glad these two teams play twice on the freshman level. It may be worth it if they played twice on the JV level too.
