Ah you are definitely right, I don’t know how I forgot about them!

Best case scenario for Prestonsburg is moving the chains and finishing a few drives, which I could see them doing. Realistically, I can't see the Blackcats keeping pace with Beechwood's offense. The Tigers should be able to score quickly and often.

We see a couple of these games every year. The anticipation always has a layer of intrigue included. Can Prestonsburg compete? Can the rushing machine live up to its hype? How will they slow Beechwood's point-a-minute offense?

Hager has the Blackcats in a good place with perhaps much more in store in the years to come. But at the end of the night, this feels like another one of those "line of demarcation" games. Their record creates the illusion that they belong on the same side of that line as the Tigers. There's probably only 3-4 teams that are truly Beechwood's peers, and I don't think that Prestonsburg is one of them.

Looking at Prestonburgs scores at least they can score alot of points which is a plus for their offense. Give the QB some time to throw and who knows? I have the Tigers easy.

Prestonsburg has had an amazing season up to this point! Unfortunately, this is where their season ends. Beechwood is just too good!!

Forecast is looking to be a rainy one on Friday and if that is the case this game could get interesting. That basically forces beechwood to have to rely on the run because no one likes throwing in the rain. And I give this advantage to Pburg because they are already such a good running team this won’t affect them. It could very well be a big factor for the tigers on offense however. It will be interesting to see if the O Line can step up and establish the run when they have been for the most part a pass focused team this year.

That's true but you also have to take into account that those averages mostly are from inferior competition like Walton Verona or St Henry. Playoff football is different. Pburg is gonna come into Edgar Mcnabb with something to prove and it worries me we haven't seen Beechwood run the football at a high clip in a single game yet. It will be interesting to see how the O Line or running backs handle this heavier than usual load. And that's even if it rains. If not Beechwood airs the ball out all over the Pburg secondary and this is a blowout. The rain is was scares me a little. But maybe I'm wrong and Beechwood's playmakers are able to use their speed to punish them on the ground but I just don't really see that happening.

Prestonsburg's best win is against a middle of the road Hazard.

These two teams are not in the same league.

TP94 Power Rankings:

Beechwood 71.71

Prestonsburg 50.18

Beechwood wins by 21. What does everyone think?

Maybe 1 more TD than that. I don't think there is any way to simulate their speed in practice..... unless you are Mayfield.

BW also leans a lot on the short pass game, as an extension of the run to get those skills in space.  Make one move and a missed tackle can turn into a long completion but very little air yards.  I believe that part of the passing game will still work in the rain.

I agree Beechwood has been pass first this year. But to answer the question about what they are capable of, against Covington Catholic, Pabst and Fryman averaged over nine yards of carry on thirteen carries. Aylor did not play in that game.

Beechwood worked on the running game against Campbell County in the last regular season game. Aylor, Pabst and Fryman had 21 carries for 175 yards against Campbell County.

Name sounds familiar but I don't think he was a starter cause he's only a sophomore

He started for SK at right tackle and played some DT #70 beginning of the season. Then vanished I didn't realize he transfered.
