At this point I believe the roster is set. Not knowing the make up of every other roster out there, I feel like UK has a team capable of making it to the elite 8 and if they do that anything is possible.

 

With that said, a lot depends on how this team meshes, injuries, including Quaintance recovery from ACL surgery, and how they evolve defensively. 

No doubt this team is very deep! Probably the most overall talent for a whole roster. However, just because they are very deep doesn't really guarantee anything. How this team plays together, how Pope rotates players, etc. all will play a role. Plus while they may be the deepest team in the country, other teams probably will have more overall talent in spots 1-8. As other rosters will have more of the top end talent on the floor at once, than UK. 

It definitely should be fun to watch, and I am excited to see year 2 of Mark Pope and how he uses this deep roster. With as deep as this roster is, could we see him try to Full Court Press like the teams he played on under Pitino? 

 

Some tough road trips for Coach Pope and the Cats it should be exciting.

The schedule has not been set. This is just a list of who they play.

Impressive schedule.  Now realizing quads fluctuate, the fact that there are 7 Q4 games and 0 Q3 games shows how really tough this schedule can turn out to be.

Get out your calendars, BBN. Game times for the CBS Sports Classic just dropped, and Kentucky vs. St. John’s drew the early slot for the December 20 showdown in Atlanta.

Mark Pope’s Cats and Rick Pitino’s Red Storm will square off at 12:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena. North Carolina vs. Ohio State will follow at 3:00 p.m. Both games will air on CBS.
