That's the right move for Perry. Find a school you can start at next season. Get experience, improve then back into the portal when capable of starting for one of the big schools.

Agreed! With how things are today, and how you can transfer basically at anytime. There is honestly not much reason to ride the bench somewhere, when you can go get a lot of playing time and prove yourself. Then as you said, if you do well then you can end right back up at a big school if you want.

  • In this era, I believe every team in America is now in this mode. I do not pretend to understand recruiting, roster construction, or who mid-major transfers are. Trust the process, and hope you strike

My awesome wife got me this and it was delivered this afternoon. She’s a keeper I think I’ll keep her even after 38 years.?

If you are in the 8-10 man rotation, coming off the bench is OK. If not, transfer and get better. Perry isn't in the top 10 on UK's roster next season.

Agreed. He honestly wasn't going to get much playing time last year either once conference play started, until injuries forced Pope to play him more for awhile.

Travis Perry to Ole Miss. Apparently its 100%

I believe they were one of his finalists prior to choosing Kentucky.

Who will UK get in Perry's place?

May not fill it but we shall see. Perhaps Pope finds someone off the radar like Almonor. It's hard to convince guys to come in and be a practice player nowadays.

If UK were to fill that spot, I doubt they will be filling it with a practice player. If they are going to add someone via transfer port, then most likely would be someone else that can help the team and will play. Unless they decide to get a high school player that may not have committed anywhere yet.

UK will play Pitino and St. John’s on December 20th in Atlanta for the CBS Classic.

Also UK will play Purdue in an exhibition game.

Did I miss something?  Oweh announce he's coming back a day after getting invited to the NBA draft combine.

I think everyone is assuming that he returns, I don't think anything officially has been said yet.

Everyone is certainly hoping he does. Just weird timing for that post.

I have to believe Oweh always planned to use the combine to get feedback from the NBA on what he needs to improve on to play in the league and what his chances are. I assume he can still go to the combine and get that information even if he plans on returning.

Yes, still doesn't explain the questioned post.
