Good job on the easy win for CovCath. Congrats to the Colonels.

This score makes me remember the great Dennis Green’s infamous post game comment.  Well the first part of it…”They are who we thought they were”

I still stand by my comment from last week after the Highlands loss: Cov Cath won’t lose until “maybe” State Semis…. Who’s with me???? I had some doubters last week.

How can all 3 Kenton County high schools be so terrible at playing anything that resembles a defense??

Thought CovCath would win but thought it could be tight or a shootout. Congrats to Colonels.

Highlands is a great team that nobody thought CCH would hang with. After the Colonels  challenged a very good Highlands team I had no doubts about tonight. Roll Colonels.

My lord…. What an absolute BEATING.

I was walking around the stadium a little more than usual tonight with my class reunion going on. I talked to a half dozen Simon Kenton fans in the process and they were all a lot more gracious than some fans might have otherwise been given the way things were going on the scoreboard. Definitely a credit to the folks from Independence.

Perhaps they couldn’t see the scoreboard, and they were in a better mood than they should have been.

We will see what happens in 2 weeks! I like the Tigers Chances!

Harney 108 yards 1 td passing and 126 yards rushing

Gaiser 210 yards rushing 3 tds

SK

Lee 208 yards passing 4 ints

Harris 10 catches 159 yards

I think the coaching staff has done a much better job this year with varying up the run game concepts (ex. More power read, same side trap went for a TD last night). 408 rushing yards is big time and Gaiser would have been close to 300 alone if not for penalties.

Ryle and Highlands are pretty good! We hung with them with a bunch of new guys starting and will only get better as the season goes on. You don’t want to look ahead, but the Beechwood game in 2 weeks will be very fun.

With as big of an OL as SK has every year. I don’t know why they play an up tempo, RPO heavy, air raid scheme…
