Ditto. Beechwood will be back! Beechwood loses 4 starters. All the leading skill players are back. The freshman team has talent and size. The Tigers are loaded for next year.

If it’s at your place next year hope you all have a pig roast ?

  • Just a few observations. 1. I thought LCA was a good team. I think Beechwood is better. 2. Beechwood is well coached and just fundamentally sound in every area.  3. The Tigers did not b

Knee down.

But is the ball already loose? Cannot see in this picture. If the ball is already coming out before his knee hits, it is a fumble.

I just watched the video and he positively was NOT in the end zone. Someone said Starks scored then the ball came out and that is definitely wrong. He was short of the goal line.

Unless you have  instant replay we will never know.

Or if one of the end zone crowd shot video (not picture).

Have you watched the video yet to make sure there wasn't holding? I know on the one the Beechwood fans were yelling holding before Starks even got 5 yards downfield - it was that obvious to them.

It may be the reason those were TD's is because there was holding. If there wasn't holding, the defender gets to Starks and he probably doesn't score. That is usually the way it is on these TD's that get called back by penalty. People talk about TD's getting called back because of a penalty but it is that very penalty that made the TD happen.

I haven't watched the video to know for sure if there was or wasn't holding, but those flags were thrown before Starks scored. It's not like they waited to see if he was going to score and then threw a flag.

I’ve watched the game twice. The first long TD run I didn’t see a hold. The second one was obvious. The mayfield kid didn’t have to touch the kid and he grabbed him right before juju turned the corner.

Same thing I saw.

This is the point! As close as this game was we could be having a completely different conversation today! And idc but IMO and a lot of other peoples they missed 3 BIG ONES. We had 3 TDs taken away. What major calls did Beechwood have that affected the game as a whole? This game shouldn’t have been close at the end and it was a nail biter. Too close for comfort. that's all I’m saying. I understand as a beechwood fan you wouldn’t see it the same way and I’m happy we won but good grief.

I understand it was frustrating.  You posted the picture.  I wouldn't dive into the penalties.  That's a rabbit hole not worth going down.

Is OC better then LCA or Beechwood?

Probably not. But they can win this game.

You don’t go undefeated and not be a pretty good team.  In the end team with fewest mistakes whether penalties or turnover most likely wins the game.

From what I just witnessed UK got the wrong QB commitment but it is UK so that says a little. Beechwood QB way better than LCA!!!

Wait until next week. Ocath QB is the best of the 3.

You’re right. I’m done with it. We won

To me that ball could be moving but For a team that punched it’s Ticket to the state finals you sure are complaining a lot about the so called bad calls! If I  didn’t know who won the game I  would have thought Mayfield lost! I’m sure there are some Beechwood fans who feel there were some bad calls against them but you haven’t seen one Beechwood fan cry and moan about the calls! You won so enjoy the win!

I totally agree if you just read this thread you would've thought Mayfield lost. As a long time reader and recent subscriber I have always notice and recently said in a post SOME Mayfield fans (not all) on here definitely cry when they lose but sometimes more when they win...I was glad Mayfield won and hope they win next week on to the Owensboro thread...
