Does the Red Helmet video stay up for a while? I got to see the last half of the 4th quarter and was going to watch the whole game Monday if possible. Good luck next week.

That’s what people don’t understand. That kid is phenomenal. Will be one of the best backs in the state by his junior year. A walking touchdown.

No. He got a few carries in garbage time in running clock games but no, Mayfield has two senior RBs. But the kid did run 3 kickoffs back for TD on Varsity this year. Just gets it natural. He’s fun to watch!

I would say he got a lot, given the circumstances of all the blowouts. He started on the jv and he did really well. He’s a naturally gift athlete. He has good size and speed for a freshman. I’m going to assume it’s going to take him a bout a year to really understand the game at the high school level but when he does…watch out!

Tigers still looking for that win at WMS. It’s a magical place for the Cardinals and Hell for my Tigers. Not sure it’s something you can even prepare for. Must play mistake-free football to have a chance. 

Congrats to Mayfield. Looks like everyone stayed healthy, so I expect that they will go on to win another title on Friday. 

Reading through comments on the Red Helmet Facebook and You Tube video reminds me to be grateful for BGP where it is mutual respect between knowledge fans and mostly good banter back and forth. Both fan bases should be embarrassed by the comments there. 

The fans I met (3) from Beechwood, were great to fellowship with, if I am not mistaken the fan that was very great to talk to,introduced himself as #42’s dad it was good to meet you.

I think a lot of the comments on the YouTube feed was from people who were not fans of either team. Just trolls. All their comments had nothing to do with football.

Which is the case with nearly every broadcast like that.  I much prefer the broadcasts where the commenting is turned off.
