I know Beechwood is hurt the way this one ended, but my goodness they are young and talented and will only continue to get better.  I am going ahead and pencil them in for the next 2 maybe 3 years as 2A State Champs.

I watched the last 6 minutes on Red Helmet Facebook page. Great coverage and extremely complimentary of Beechwood. They were very good at calling a tense close game. Tough game to lose for the Tigers, congrats Cards. Safe travels to all.

Yes, but I’m more talking about the last play where some Beechwood players weren’t ready to block the kick. Also thought they would call the timeout (not sure if they had any, but the awesome play by play guy made it seem like they did)

I really enjoyed the broadcast.  The barking didn't bother me.  It's a fan broadcast.  And as you said, they repeatedly gave Beechwood props.

As someone who has no dog in the fight whatsoever, I enjoyed it. 

Tough loss for Beechwood. I was thinking they may just take it to over time and try to win it since they had the mo. Mayfield just has that Mayfield magic. But two powerhouses battled it out tonight. I'm Glad I got to watch the last minutes of it.

I was surprised they didn't take a TO.

I would be afraid to call a timeout and then they miss, and on the second try they make it. 

Congrats to Mayfield and good luck next week. Both teams gave it all and Mayfield just made enough plays to win. Great year Tigers  and we will miss this Senior class. Underclassman better have a bitter taste in their mouth and come back next year hungrier and better.

Would have been lovely if 3 touchdowns weren’t called back for ridiculous stuff. I was right behind the field goal post. That was NOTHING when juju ran the ball on the sideline for TD. He also crossed the TD line with the ball before the fumble! He was clearly in and I’ve got a friend who was on par with the line who has clear cut video! That ref was HORRIBLE!! None of those should have been called back. Good game Beechwood that passing attack was amazing. However, we should have won by at least 2 scores.

I can't speak to the accuracy, or lack thereof, of those calls.  They were critical whistles regardless.  But even the pro-Mayfield announcers acknowledged it wasn't pretty.

Then post the video. I was at a game tonight where 95% of the action was on the other end of the field. We just assumed what the stripes called was correct. You do realize the Referee doesn’t call offensive touchdowns?

Or acknowledge that the officials looking straight down the line of scrimmage have a better view point than a random fan in the back of an end zone.
