I have said this many times, and will say it again here. With very few exceptions, students in KY have free choice to go to any high school they want. They can play sports at any school they want. The only restrictions are after a student has attended a high school and played a varsity sport at that high school.

We should add that the KHSAA rules are the same for every school.  It is the schools and school systems that add additional restrictions on themselves and then cry like babies.

  • Scott has made 3 region finals since 2015. Take away this year and the COVID year, I'd say this has been the best 10-year run Scott has ever had. Granted, they've played in a weak district and were on

Hats off to Steve for stepping in. A lose lose for everyone but a great guy to rally the troops.

Is Noel still coaching down at Holmes? Scott v. Holmes, Pick your poison, unfortunately. All comes down to if Noel still has that itch.

We might be thinking of different issues but to me Scott is at their worst point ever and I question some of the leadership.  As far as the Kenton County enrollment policies, I will leave that to an expert.

If I can remember correctly KCSD tried to eliminate open enrollment and redraw some sort of district lines a few years back for their respective high schools and that was met with major resistance from the people of Independence.

But to say Scott High is at their worst point EVER is a fallacy

Can we agree on a low point?

This was already covered but Noel Rash would have to be crazy to waste his time at Scott.

Unless, Scott poses the “how bored are you, we’ll certainly change that” question. Have to be a salesman this time around, might as well start with a whale!

Football is a sport that takes a major investment by a district to succeed. Some districts either can’t or won’t make that happen investment. It’s not only money but school schedule and other factors.

Absolutely…as all schools go thru them.

Academically and Athletically. I don't think this is a point in time anyone in Taylor Mill wants to remember.

Sure. The building is getting a facelift. But, there is not a lot of positivity on Pride Parkway right now.

Doesn’t this school have decent facilities? I thought they had an indoor and all?

Why would he want to do that to himself after stepping away?

He coached at Holmes this season can't be any worse.

That district has three schools playing football and two have been more successful. Can't blame the district leadership. Check their facilities. They have struggled to be highly competitive since their inception.

Much different being an assistant as opposed to being the head coach.

He wouldn't. End of story.
