If a team is up 21 then it doesn't matter if a bench player has the ball, what does that make it a closer game somehow? So it's ok for UK to do it but not Duke? Taking that shot at the end of the game was not needed whether it was a backup or starter! If the backups want some shots play harder in practice is all I know. I think its a huge difference if its a starter or non-starter. They work hard everyday in practice just like everyone else. They just aren't good enough to get it done. So when they are in there you let them fire away.
January 19, 200719 yr Guarantee that if it were a Wildcat doing the exact same thing, not a critical word would be said by you or any other UK fan. It just happened int he Auburn game. The only difference is that it was a sub and not a starter.

I'm no fan of Duke, by any means, but Paulus would be among my favorite Duke players of the last decade or two. He busts his tail...plays hard. McRoberts on the other hand, I can't stand watching that guy...just seems awkward. RP, come on, bringing up Sparks as a comparison is below you. That's not right whether it's a starter or backup both sets of players should have the same respect for the opposing team.

It was one shot in a college game against an inconference opponent. I don't see it deserving it's own thread. BTW, LOVED your article (you know the one to which I am referring). Killer dude!
