One of the best games I’ve f the year.
aBotu teams play their hearts out.
BG pulls it out in style with the hook-ladder.
Good luck South

Go BG!

This is for you @theguru

Thanks for the great thread @Purple88!

That gave me serious flashbacks. In the best way.

Pure joy. All smiles all weekend.

Purples.

Hitch pitch. Its basically  guaranteed knockout blow for the Purples!

Waited on this game all week and it did not disappoint. Congrats to the purples on the big win.

Ethan Reynolds (JR) going out early in the game was no help to the Spartans this evening.

The Purples capitalized on the opportunities, the game plan played in the favor of the Spartans all night long and squeezing out the victory on the road was a huge step in the right direction for this BG team.

Two of the top teams in 5A just happen to be 10 minutes away, a great game, great rivalry, love to see it and can’t wait for this matchup in the State playoffs.

Both teams are going to be tough outs in the playoffs.

Great game! Congrats to the Purples!

Instant classic

South came out and executed a great game plan.  They were prepared and well coached.

BG was not up to par. Defensively there didn’t appear to be any game plan or any adjustments.  And it was one of the poorest offensive performances all around of the year too.

BUT BG never quit, played with great effort all game and came up with the play that mattered.

I don’t know why the South Warren PA guy shutdown after the last BG score?

He had a lot to say and trash talk on the microphone during the entire rest of the game, including when South scored the do ahead touchdown with two-point conversion.

I do hope he’s alright.  Looked Like he just turned the lights out in box and disappeared even though there was 6 seconds left.

PA guy audibly taking trash? Officials should’ve shut that down right away.

unreal game to follow on the update thread and what a play to take the final lead.

You could hear it over the livestream. I’m all for energizing your people, but too much, is, well…. too much.

They’ve been doing it for years.  Everyone complains about it, but nobody ever does anything about it. Also plays music well into the opposing team’s offensive possession.

if I were the school admin and football coach I’d be embarrassed by it.

Also sleepy McGhee on the clock button tonight. Just hit the button whenever he felt like it. Refs finally had to stop play and get on him about it toward the end.

Watching tv Colorado game tonight and the officials shut down the exact same thing in the first quarter. I’ve never seen that in a college game. So it’s not just a high school issue.
