I just want to know what Dixie will do in pregame after Highlands punts the ball 20 yards into their pregame routine and all players chase the ball down?

I want to know what Highlands will do if Dixie's trainers drop their athletic tape walking across the field?

Or if the guy running the chain gang drops his hat on Highlands kicking tee?

Or if Dixie trains carrier pigeons to fly over the Bluebirds during warmups after a giant meal of birdseed?

Hyperbole of course, but "what if" is a game that never ends.....

Just a thought, but in watching that video above, it looks like they kick an extra point right before, then just turn around and run punt.  The kid is punting it from the back line of the end zone.  S

I’ve heard they do this. I DO NOT KNOW IF ITS TRUE. While most teams punt in towards goal line. Highlands just punts into other teams warm up. IMO it should be an unsportsmanlike penalty so things don’t get out of hand before the game starts.

If Dixie runs a tight pregame routine, at some point they should line up all across their 40 and just look at them for a few minutes. That seems to ruffle some feathers. /s

I believe highlands home game hudl streams are public. Not sure when the recording starts but this should be pretty easy to verify if it does pick up warmups. Sounds like something that may have happened on accident. I doubt it’s common practice.

51:20 mark of the CovCath game feed. I don’t see anything egregious. They did their punt thing and the returner ran to the 50 on highlands sideline, where they all huddled up. Nothing to see here.

Do you think the man only has been working? Friday night’s defensive showing was a total embarrassment! It was pathetic.

No one else on their schedule ( and that includes the entire playoffs) that can throw the ball like Cooper. When you get to November you run it to win. Why in the world would a high school football team's performance be an embarrassment? Highlands was ranked #2, Cooper 5. I guess if they won 14-7(same margin, correct?) the offense would have been an embarrassment. They have a great chance to win it all this season no matter how much they embarrass the Bluebird faithful.

Will this game be streamed?  Looks like a good one!

Anyone have an answer to this?

This is the first place I would look:

Dixie Heights Athletics | Youtube

The Dixie/Beechwood game was streamed there three weeks ago, but they didn't do the Boone County game last week. With this being Highlands, I'd like to think they'll stream it. Can't say for sure, though.

Speaking of duel threat QBs, Highlands has an absolute stud with Benke running the show. I look forward to the first time he and Brach Rice meet.

Who wins that head on collision in the hole? Neither shy away from contact. Better question: are there any survivors?

What’s the parking situation at Dixie? Been a minute since I’ve been there. Last time was kind of a cluster. I may venture out depending on the answer. I’d like to see Rice play and it’s close enough without bad traffic.

Get there early if you don’t want to park across the street. By early I mean around 6. 6:30 is too late. Also I didn’t go to the last game but the Beechwood game it took about 15 minutes to get through the ticket line.

Parking in the old Kmart lot then crossing the street makes for easy leaving after the game.
I agree w above, ticket line can take long. Garzellis is a nice pre or post game spot.

I went to Boone and Beechwood around 15 minutes before kickoff both times, and the line was much faster for Boone. Hopefully that continues.

Definitely more parking than Highlands.  I would expect a packed game, there is a vacant parking lot across Dixie, old Kmart.

Nothing to see there because CovCath happened to be off to the side on their own sideline when Highlands did their punt. Would be a whole lot different if CovCath is still doing their pregame warm ups running plays and having a bunch of players lined up across the 50 like teams do, when Highlands decides to punt right into that area and have their whole team run right to where the other team is. Which is exactly what happened last week, and is probably why the comment was brought up about them punting intentionally and running down with the whole team towards the other teams warmups.

So yeah as long as the other team isn’t out there in the middle still warming up, then nothing wrong at all. Now when the other team is also out in the middle of the field close to the 50 and they do that. Then there is absolutely no reason to do that.
