Beechwood's new head coach Jay Volker led the Tigers to his first win as coach last week against a strong Cincinnati Archbishop McNicholas team. It is a step into class 6A this week as the Tigers travel to Campbell County. The Camels rolled in week one last week at home by the score of 56-6 over Scott. It was the Nathan Smith show in game one for the Camels. Sr. QB Smith accounted for 5 touchdowns with 4 of them on the ground. Smith was 10-14 passing and rushed for 116 yards as well. For the Tigers, Jr. QB Clay Hayden was 20-26 for 264 yards and 2 touchdown passes in the Tigers 31-14 win. Fellow Jr. Luke Erdman led Beechwood in rushing and receiving in the game.

Can Beechwood make it two wins in a row on the road or are the Camels going to ride the momentum from week 1 to another home win?

This one will be interesting, that’s for sure!

Interesting game, from how each game went for both over the past weekend, seems like it could go either way. I would think that Beechwood is the favorite but Campbell hasn’t put up numbers like they just did in a long time. Good luck to both. 

This is my second game of the week and it’s like a mathematical conundrum. On paper CC should roll, but as we all know in KY class means little. I’m going with CC bc of their offensive of output against Scott. I know I know, but that’s my only reasoning. Good luck to both teams.

With the cramping issues from last week, Beechwood better due some major hydration this week or the additional heat could be a major factor in this one.  Depth does not seem to be a strong suit for the Tigers this year.  

Beechwood will take this one.

I sure hope so on this one, I want to see this game. 

I will also take Beechwood..hard to go against 3 times class 2A champs until someone beats them.
