I'd be furious if I was a JCPS coach right now. 

Can’t be mad. Everyone had known for years 1 bus stop may have 10 kids on it with 6 probably all going to different schools. Kids are getting on 3-4 buses crossing different neighborhoods. And kids are way more reckless and wilder so as a bus monitor and driver no telling how many fights you’re breaking up daily. That $21 a hour not worth it at all.

JCPS is allowing athletics to resume after Saturday, 2 PM.  

So, you can't play a home game/scrimmage on Friday, 7 PM.  I am not sure what major changes will impact high school sports in that 19 hour period but if must be major if you suddenly can play on Saturday, 2 PM.  

Personal reflection- when administrators make decisions in the best interest of kids, they are usually the right decisions.  Perhaps, that criteria should have been considered prior to shutting down activities due to the school-day bus debacle.  

 

I have thought about this one for a minute and maybe they are saying based on the fairness to all teams if they cannot provide transportation to those who have away scrimmages/games then maybe they thought it was not fair to allow the one's to host. I honestly can't think of any other justification as to why you would cancel the extracurricular activities.

It appears to me that JCPS needs to look into districting. This is crazy to me that you have had all summer to figure this out and on day one you don't have it together. The adults failed the children in this one.

Bullitt East vs Ballard is cancelled as is Franklin County vs Manual….so BE will travel to Franklin County tomorrow night instead.  Thank you Franklin County!

Seems like JCPS loves to cancel athletics when things are messed up in the school system. 
 

No wonder many of these kids go the private school route.

There may be some tenured drivers making $30, but nobody starting out is making that.

......And down to Mt. Washington!  Great school, no tuition if you live in Bullitt County and brand new, top of the line athletic facilities being built over the course of the next 2 years.
