Chiefs 23 Bengals 20 (AFC Championship)

Tough loss.

It's amazing the culture change and just how the mindset has changed in two short seasons.

Last year the fanbase was just begging for a playoff win and now there are questions if an AFC Championship appearance should be considered a successful season.

As long as Burrow is a Bengal, this is hopefully just the start.

Chiefs players seemed to really hate the Burrowhead comments.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram every where is blowing up about the bad calls and the refs taking the game. Could someone give us a list of the most egregious calls. I watched the game with zero rooting interest, but wanting the Bengals to win for my son's sake.

There were indeed some costly and poorly timed penalties called but none that looked like a blown call that I can remember. KC was 1 for 2 on their challenges and I think the Bengals won their only challenge (scratch that, the refs reviewed it without the Bengals having to use a challenge).

Maybe post tweets with the video of the blown calls?

These are the 2 many are complaining about on the play Mahomes was hit late out of bounds.

The other big call was the replay of 3rd down where the Bengals stopped them and then the punt team came out, only to be sent back to replay the down. Then on the next play, the questionable pass interference.

One play that I thought they missed was a no call on their last drive it was either 2nd or 3rd down and one of the Bengals o-linemen received a obvious hands to the face and it was not called and would have been a automatic first down.

The late hit was the correct call, it just happened at the most inopportune time.   I believe the penalties called went 9-3 (Bengals-Chiefs).  If that crew only saw the Chiefs commit 3 penalties all game then they need to be fired immediately.  Heck, there were penalties on both the punt return and the fateful Mahomes run at the end of the game.  I guess they didn't see them.

The thing I will remember most is the exasperated look on Taylor's face that he had several times due to calls/no calls.  You knew it wasn't meant to be.

Final tough to lose on a dumb penalty! A great season sad to lose like this!

What is dumb is leaving Kelce wide open.

One thing I like about Mahomes is how super-competitive he is. That showed during this game and his post-game remarks.

I agree 100% below is what I said in the update thread.

I don't understand how someone as good as Kelce can get that open. Chiefs lead now 13-3.

The Chiefs were the better team. They won at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. That's the ball game in a nutshell.

Most egregious call might have been the intentional grounding that fell 2-3 yards short of Perine.

Overall, I didn’t think the defense was as good as they’ve been all season, but they held Mahomes to 2 TD. That should be plenty. Offense has to score with 2:00 left.

Are you talking about the touchdown Kelce scored? That was just two guys in Mahomes and Kelce who know each other and made a play. Kelce was running a flag route on that 4th and short. Bates was in perfect position to take away the flag route, but Mahomes and Kelce simply do what they do and improvised. Mahomes saw Kelce was guarded on the flag route  and knew Kelce would shut his route down and threw it behind him to make a play. It sucks, but plays like that just have to give them credit.

Look, I'm not saying the Bengals didn't benefit from some questionable calls, but if we are going to play the freeze frame game we can probably pick out about 50 missed calls on both ends. Especially when it comes to holding.
