If Beechwood is going to keep CCH on the schedule I am not sure I would want to play Highlands too.  That would be a lot for a small, 2A school.

You can count on it that if BW doesn't schedule Highlands, there are going to be Birds snarking it up about BW ducking Highlands.

For sure, and they wouldn't be wrong.  But if we are going to use that logic Highlands would have to be reaching out to the best teams in 6A and across the river first.  Otherwise Highlands would be ducking teams too.

Scheduling Beechwood makes no sense for HHS. They already have out of district games with Lex Cath and CCH. 2 very good teams in lower classes. HHS needs 6A opponents to improve RPI to hopefully improve the chances of hosting games after round 2. SK seemed like a good fit for both programs. It is a shame that game is going away.

Likewise, scheduling Highlands makes no sense for Beechwood.  They have five running clock district games and I assume a game against CCH.  The other four need to be competitive but for sure they have to be games Beechwood will win.

Could be. However, IMO aside from a big gate for both schools, I do not see any upside for either team to play. 

Would like to see Highlands play Boyle County on a regular basis.
