The defense makes stops when they need to.

This is certainly not your uncle’s Trinity. They have not improved since week three. Their play calling at times is suspect. They play deliberately and do not have any edge playmakers. They also seem to not be able to complete passes over 10 yards.
However, they can run right by SK’s offensive line. The defensive front has lots of speed.  Trinity’s depth will also be a problem for SK.

I think the difference is Trinity’s speed in the end. Louisville speed is just different.

Seeing SK against Highlands and Woodford Co, they just seem a bit slow.

Trinity’s recipe for success is no turnovers, few penalties and getting points in the red zone.

The recipe for SK is to take chances downfield and take advantage of any Trinity miscues.

Just as seven other schools throughout the season didn’t have trouble with Marshall County.

A big factor will be SK’s kicker was not putting the ball in the end zone vs Ryle on kickoffs. I’m pretty sure T’s kicker reaches the end zone on each kickoff. Starting field position will be a big advantage in this game.

He  put them in the endzone against Marshall County.

The kicking issues have seemed to be fixed in the last two weeks. The kicker had been getting within 10 yards of the end zone consistently.

Massey ratings have it Trinity 42-14. I think it will be closer than that.

Pioneers RB Jayden Lawson has 1011 yards rushing and 12 tds.

Crone has over 834 yards rushing 17 tds and  1267 yards 13 tds 4 ints.

Williams 50 catches 700 yards 8 tds.

Allen 538 yards rushing  9 tds and 1044 yards passing 10 tds 8 ints.into.

Sandsburry 441 yards rushing 4tds

Sasser 372 yards rushing  2 tds

Pioneers also have Bleier 600 yards 5tds

Turner 130 yards 4 tds

Kitchens 12 catches 254 yards 4tds and 3 ints at safety.

Galbraith 16 catches 252 yards 3 tds

I'm really interested to see how dynamic the SK offense is. On paper, they look pretty dangerous in the RPO game and Crone is certainly as good as we've seen in NKY in a while. I will try to post more once I see them on tape. 

As for Trinity, I agree that penalties are a major issue. The secondary was tagged several times for DPI when they had the CC quarterback on the run and just heaving it up for grabs. If they get that fixed, I'm not sure there is a team in 6A who can withstand the exotic blitz packages from Fox/Cobb and the D-Line play of Toney, Tronzo, Wilson, Mahan et al. 

Offensively, Allen is the guy and we go as he goes. I felt he has made more good decisions and he has gotten much healthier over the last several weeks. He is truly a gamechanger leading this team and if he can distribute the ball to Lynn, Meyers and Sasser this is the team to beat. Drew is the ultimate catalyst for this game, IMO.

 What can really help Trinity is perfect execution in special teams. McLaughlin is hands down the best kicker in the state, but he can miss a few kicks. I imagine he will be asked to kick anything inside 55 yards and we saw Friday night he can execute onside kicks in addition to kicking through the back of the end zone. Carter Schwartz (UK commit) is also the best punter in the state and can really flip the field. He can pin teams inside their own 10 yard line and make life difficult for offensive coordinators. Both of these young men can flip the field when called upon.
