Assuming all teams win their final game, here is the projected final 2A RPI:

1. Beechwood ............ .760132

2. Owensboro Catholic .... .741473

3. Mayfield .................. .733256

6. Lexington Christian ..... .646304

7. Hancock County ......... .642989

8. Metcalfe County ........ .628837

This is a rough projection. With all the games played by opponents and opponent's opponents being impossible to project, there could be some variance. However, in the numbers for the final four, it looks pretty certain that the final four will be east vs. east and west vs. west. Only one of Owensboro Catholic, Mayfield and LCA will make the title game and LCA will be on the road in the final four, assuming the favorites keep winning.

Looking to round 3, a key game is going to be Danville versus Metcalfe County. If Danville wins their way to round 3, that will set up LCA at Mayfield in round 3.

Anything change on these projections now that the forfeit came through in the Caldwell vs. Christian County game? Looks like that gave Mayfield a bump.

Flu is raging here, we had 23 teachers out yesterday and a shortage of bus drivers leading to some bus drivers having to do 2 routes.  I hope sickness doesn't cause any forfeits in the playoffs for anyone.  

I would love to see Mayfield get to play LCA and BW in the title.  A rough road but if you survive it would mean more.  

In NKY here. Took my daughter to the pediatrician Saturday and she told me that the flu numbers were already through the roof. Hopefully all recover and it won’t have a negative impact on any teams once the playoffs start.

LCA will beat 6A Henry Clay tomorrow night, would think they will jump back ahead of Lloyd.

How is one of them forfeiting to the other when they played the 1st game of the year, and Christian won I don't understand.  Unless you mean this week, but Caldwell plays Trigg.

Ok I see now after looking at khsaa scoreboard.  Christian self reported playing someone eniligible in the 1st game forfeiting their win to them. that's weird wonder what happened.

Apparently there were a few other self reported ineligible players this week that caused forfeits from earlier games. Either way Mayfield got a little bump and if everyone wins out tonight it will be interesting to see how everything shakes out. Whether you love or hate the RPI it has definitely made tonight a lot more interesting and must win scenarios for some teams.
