I understand what your saying....be a big surprise to me if KHSAA made any rulings against the transfer.

Confused on a couple things here.  Do high school’s make an announcement of transfers?  Also if kid moved why would he be anything but eligible?

With the new transfer rules that could be going into effect soon, I think the timing completely makes sense.

Who can tell us about Patterson as a player?

The new rules go into place July 1?

From what I have read, the KHSAA doesn't have any say in this anymore. There aren't exceptions. Either you move into the district or you sit out a year. That's it.

Plays receiver. Top five prospect in the state and likely Power 5 conference player. I thought he was underutilized at Corbin and I have a feeling I'm not alone. I think Haddix will make him a bigger priority at Boyle, which spells trouble for the rest of 4A. I would anticipate seeing his name floating around for All-BGP consideration after this coming season.

Your points about education and winning a ring at Boyle are well taken, but the Haddix connection would be my pick for #1 deciding factor for this landing spot. That's assuming this move wasn't motivated by something beyond just football.

This should be a mutually beneficial situation for Patterson and the Rebels.

Seems like that was the consensus regarding both Patterson and Longmire. In 472 offensive plays (per the KHSAA website), those two combined to touch the ball 55 times, just under 12% of the overall plays.

The school did not announce it.

Some curious play calling and personel decisions down in Redhound country since Haddix left. I have to believe that was a motivating factor here.

Again all this consternation about transfers. What is wrong with a student wanting to get a better education and have better scholarship opportunities? What about a child that has been mentally affected by abusive coaches which we all know exist? Should that child not be able to leave and go to a more conducive atmosphere? Some of these mental abuses have led to suicides especially among females. When are adults going to start doing what is best for children instead of feeding their adult egos?

Which is more prevalent in damaging children athletes?

A. Abusive coaches

B. Parents with unrealistic views and expectations of their children

Both!!

Easy decision football and school wise. No offense but would you rather play for a Haddix led offense or Corbin’s more run focused offense as a WR?

Pretty straight forward.
