  1. Kentucky Christian will now have both top scorers from Scott High School.
  2. I would be interested to see how many thousand of waiver hearings there will be this summer and fall as they already had 1500 or more before the end of school and before the inception of this new rule. I am sure there was a rush of transfers before July 1.
  3. There ar many nasty coaches in this area. Those that verbally and mentally abuse players especially females. Unfortunately, there is no place parents can go to protect their children. State Athletic Associations just throw the complaints back to the schools who,in the majority of cases,do nothing. That is why there are still so many unruly coaches coaching!
  4. He is playing for an Indiana AAU team. Maybe go west to an Indiana School.
  5. Many are transferring before July 1. New law does not allow KHSAA waivers. The Board of Education now controls student athletes.
  6. Again all this consternation about transfers. What is wrong with a student wanting to get a better education and have better scholarship opportunities? What about a child that has been mentally affected by abusive coaches which we all know exist? Should that child not be able to leave and go to a more conducive atmosphere? Some of these mental abuses have led to suicides especially among females. When are adults going to start doing what is best for children instead of feeding their adult egos?
  7. I researched JCPS and they ha e 7 different districts so I am not sure how that would work. I still believe we should not restrict student/athletes. What if they want to leave because of a verbally/mentally abusive coach which we all know exist across the systems? That is not the child's fault.
  8. I agree. What would this do to Jefferson County School Choice plan where students can go out of district to magnet or better performing schools?
  9. What if a parent worked for Kenton County district but did not reside in the district?
  10. Also what if they transfer from a private school in Kenton County to a public school in Kenton County?
