Only took one day to move Brady’s retirement off the front page.

  • No.

That seems like a sure fire way to NOT get a job.

...and for the record, I'm not saying he's wrong. But you better have some concrete evidence of it.

I agree. And I’m not sure what the line is between discrimination and being part of a good ole boy systemic racist culture. I genuinely feel Goodell has done everything in his power to boost the amount of minority coaches in the NFL, but owners - racist or not - are not going to be told who to hire.

I think the Belicheck texts are his ticket to getting paid and raise awareness on this.

Belicheck heard about the Giants hire before Flores even interviewed. I know people can wow you early in the interview process, but that screams simply satisfying the Rooney rule. Of course most teams work around now will simply be interviewing the minority candidate first.

The other evidence that I’ve heard won’t amount to much. Showing up and hour late and clearly hung over to an interview speaks to your own inadequacies and not racism.

He is also alleging the Dolphins were offering him big money to throw games.  If true, that is the biggest story here and should result in severe consequences.

From the Great Google Machine:

“That was a conversation about not doing as much as we needed to do to win football games, take a flight, go on vacation, 'I'll give you $100,000 per loss' -- those exact words,” Flores said in an interview Wednesday with ESPN regarding the conversation with Ross.

That was my biggest take away too, in that it could be potentially easily proven as true.

I don't know the facts, so I won't speculate on Denver or NYG giving Flores a "sham" interview and all of that.  But the story about being offered bribes to throw games is very interesting and could have legs.  They couldn't have really put that in writing, could they?  I feel like Flores couldn't prove it to be true, unless they did.

That's one of the allegations that I'm like, that has to be true because there's zero way to prove that if it's not in writing.

Could that be proven with betting patterns?

Hue Jackson has chimed in on this, and someone associated with his foundation says they have paperwork to prove the Browns did the same thing.

I don't see how unless you had employees of the Dolphins doing the betting and even then I don't know what it would prove.

This is my gut feeling too.

In my old job we would be scheduled for polygraphs this week to see what we could learn.

Just saying.  The people that investigate that kind of stuff are smarter than me and probably have digital tools that track patterns pretty quickly.

Now, he could be taking a comment that was made in jest and trying to make it something it's not, but the burden of proof would still be on him.

Proven? No, I don't think so. But if a pattern like that could be established it would certainly make things interesting.
