He is probably the most talented player on the team with the least amount of targets and TD's. So many weapons on this team, impossible to get everyone as many touches as they might get in another year with lesser offensive weapons. He's been patient, bided his time, played great all year when called upon, been the consummate teammate and now, look what he's accomplished.

That was what I figured. Adam was a stud QB at Cov Cath. The defense is playing lights out.

One of the other fun things about this Tigers team is the legacy names on the roster. In addition to the Hergotts, there is Mitchell Berger, whose dad Brandon is a coach. Brandon is in most people's eyes the greatest Beechwood Tiger ever and played professional baseball. Personally had the pleasure of seeing Liam perform at Marshall and WVU Camps this summer. Crushed it with some elite athletes /competition. Just needs more touches and you will see him on Saturdays.  No doubt. 

Last post for Louden. For the record, Mayfield lost twice tonight. Not one Cardinal fan took me up on the offer of free drinks at the Saddle Club in my previous posts this week. Lol. All kidding aside, I feel fortunate to be able to say I’ve witnessed my son play a state semi twice against Mayfield, once each home and away. The Mayfield experience was awesome, besides the score, and tonight in Ft Mitchell equaled it. Two great programs, great fans, and 5 hrs between them. So cool. Hope all Cardinal fans make it home safely and especially hope #50 is okay. Hate to see anyone’s season end with an injury. Until next time……..

As I read through this thread, I am a bit embarrassed about a couple of posts, particularly the “go back to 1A” comment.  That, in no way represents the mind set of the Beechwood faithful.

Yes, we FINALLY beat Mayfield who has had the Tigers by the tail for at least a decade, and no one is more thrilled than I am, but it is a great rivalry now.  It reminds me of Beechwood/Cov Cath in the 90’s and also Beechwood/New Cath in the 2000’s. Nothing better than a great rivalry to get everyone stirred up and nervously looking forward to Friday night.

Both schools have great programs but this year is the year for the Tigers.  I look forward to watching these two programs meeting in the future.

True on the depth. Beechwood has lost to season ending injury an offensive lineman, their starting running back and two way starter at WR and S. All very good players. The WR/S Brady Moore is the player who blocked the extra point to get Beechwood the win in last year's title game. Amazing Beechwood can suffer those losses and keep it going.  

Liam McCormack steps in for Moore at safety and intercepted a pass last week and again tonight. He also is the player who chased down Starks to keep him from scoring. And McCormack caught the first TD pass tonight. Great job by him.

Liam also made the first interception from the Mayfield QB. He is a player and had a really good game.

He can play on the next level. He has the size and athletic ability. He showed his speed last night when he ran down Starks on the one big play Mayfield had. I wonder if Starks had ever been caught from behind like that? McCormack came from the opposite side of the field safety position to make that tackle.

The worst thing about this game is we didn't compete. We always compete but you were so overwhelming that we couldn't. Now we know what it feels like and I hope the boys find this unacceptable and work hard and lift the weight and so forth.

I was shocked to hear it, but they were not. Was it announced to the team, did I miss something, or is that just totally wrong info?

Heard the same thing about Mayfield’s head coach but who knows?
