He had 2 who played. One was a lineman who was good and then their was Trajon who was little.

Jonathan Jackson is by far the best that ever came through Mayfield. He changed the program. Mayfield for the longest was at sub state team and Jonathan changed it to a state championship contender every year he was there. Now, I'm not saying mayfield wasn't a championship caliber team before him but name a player that was better than him throughout the years. That kid lived in the weight room and took every game personal. I barely missed a game that he played in. He was one of a kind.

This needs to be pointed out and has not been talked about enough. The key thing about this Tigers team is their defense may be the best Beechwood has ever fielded. Mayfield did not earn a first down in the game until there was a running clock. (They did get a first down by penalty drawing Beechwood offsides on a 3rd and short in the 2nd quarter) In fact, they did not cross mid field until they scored after Beechwood had a running clock. The turnovers tonight were all created and earned by the Beechwood defense. One team this entire season has scored 2 touchdowns against the Beechwood first team, and that team scored 14 points. Don't be surprised if next week's state title game is closer than many are expecting. The Beechwood defense is amazing!

This defense is playing on another level. I can’t wait for next week. Beechwood’s depth is something else.

I've seen em all from 69 to 2021. Jonathan was good no doubt but Mikey had NFL potential.

On our way home. It was my first visit to Beechwoid, and color me impressed. Beautiful school, great facilities, and really good team. Great job Tigers…you deserved it tonight. Should be a great game against LCA next week…good luck!

True on the depth. Beechwood has lost to season ending injury an offensive lineman, their starting running back and two way starter at WR and S. All very good players. The WR/S Brady Moore is the player who blocked the extra point to get Beechwood the win in last year's title game. Amazing Beechwood can suffer those losses and keep it going.  

Liam McCormack steps in for Moore at safety and intercepted a pass last week and again tonight. He also is the player who chased down Starks to keep him from scoring. And McCormack caught the first TD pass tonight. Great job by him.

And this without Avery Courtney and Brady Moore on the lineup.
